Suzi Green Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist DipCNM mBANT CNHC
Stressed out and finding it hard to relax? Not sleeping well? Struggling to lose weight and keep it off? ...or perhaps you’ve lost that spark lately?
Life can be hard enough and even more so when you are juggling a high pressure work schedule with home and social life. What we eat and drink has a crucial part to play in how we feel and this can affect so many things. Taking charge of your diet can be the first step towards a happier life.
I offer nutritional and lifestyle plans for busy people enabling you to incorporate change into your life, manage health concerns and achieve your aims.
Whether you want to improve your overall sense of wellbeing, look and feel younger, increase your energy and elevate your mood, or you have a specific health problem – with my experienced advice and support, your goals are within reach.
I believe small, step-by-step changes to diet and lifestyle based on what you enjoy and can sustain are realistic long term. My philosophy is that nutritious, healthy food should be delicious, but as simple and fun as possible. Clients are often surprised how even seemingly small adjustments can lead to significant improvements fast.
What is Naturopathic Nutrition?
Naturopathic Nutrition integrates both scientific nutrition and the principles of naturopathic medicine into a distinct holistic approach to nutritional practice. It brings together the wisdom of Oriental medicine with the latest Western research based nutrition. This can include therapeutic use of food, traditional approaches to detoxification, nutritional supplementation and behavioural and lifestyle counselling.
This holistic approach suits many people struggling in today's busy environment. People often think of ‘diet’ as some highly restrictive regime of foods. The word actually comes from the classical Greek word diaita which means ‘way of living’, and with the pressures of modern life, our daily diet is often one of the first aspects of our lives that gets compromised.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’ve worked for over 15 years in music, media and the arts, during which I’ve looked after many busy and complicated lives, but also personally suffered from burnout, chronic fatigue and depression. I used to spend many months away at a time traveling for work, looking after bands ‘on the road’ and I’m more than familiar with how a punishing schedule can sabotage even the best intentions.
This led me on my own journey to find a way to feel better and happier. After much frustration expecting specialists to ‘fix’ me, I began taking responsibility for my own health, primarily through diet. My life was irrevocably changed as my energy and wellbeing returned and I began helping others around me, even earning the tourbus nickname ‘Suzi Green the Smoothie Queen!’ Learning first hand that the only plan that will truly stick long term is one that is personal and takes into account the whole person, their day to day lifestyle and aspirations, I set up Green Vitality to guide and support others.
After completing my VTCT in Anatomy & Physiology, I trained at the London School of Thai Yoga Massage to Advanced Level and was able to use this on tour where everyone seems to be hurting in some way or other. Thai massage was the perfect way to get my hands on bad backs and strained muscles – many a backstage dressing room across the world became my mobile massage clinic!
Learning more and getting my own results with how food supported me in the midst of a crazy lifestyle, I was bitten by the bug and there was no turning back. I read everything I could lay my hands on, studied chemistry and biology at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, and went on to qualify as a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London.
Naturopathic medicine appealed to me as its' focus is on understanding what caused the disease in the first place and then by addressing the underlying cause, it can restore balance and health. Put simply, being common sense medicine, it's practical and effective and gets results!
I am an active member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT), the professional body for practitioners which promotes high standards of practice and integrity in the profession and I continue to keep up to date with current research in an ever changing nutrition world by regularly attending seminars and related events.
I am fully insured with Balens, specialist insurance for wellbeing professionals.

"I had already tried a number of diets when I saw Suzi for a consultation. She explained concepts of eating such as the balance of food types a meal should contain and methods of portion control which really made sense to me. She explored my eating habits and gave me some meal suggestions that I found easy to integrate into my routine. She also exploded a few myths about different kinds of fats and we discussed how I could alter my favourite dishes to be healthier. The supplements she suggested supported my weight loss effectively and I’ve since found it easier to maintain my weight." Annabel Lermer
"The whole process has been enlightening." Jon Chapman
"With lots of sensible, easy to follow advice and just a few little adjustments to my eating habits, I now have far fewer wakeful periods at night, sleep more deeply and I’ve got more energy during the day." Lucy Wood
