Holistic Nutritional Therapist mFHN adv.dip.nutrition/WM

About me

Hi, I am Sue.

I am a busy wife, mum and business owner (those are just three of my hats!).  Prior to becoming a nutrition therapist, I was a childminder for 15 years.

I have always been passionate about natural health, the quality of the food we eat and reducing our exposure to harmful toxins.

Years of yo-yo dieting and a diagnosis of overactive thyroid following my dads' death destroyed my metabolism.

As my weight started to increase (after medication to resolve my thyroid issue) I tried more diets and exercise programs but nothing seemed to work.  As I hit my 40's and perimenopause started to play a role things didn't improve.

I was determined to find a way to make me feel better, more energetic, something that would fit my lifestyle, I love food and I do enjoy cake, wine and pizza!

Through tons of research and training along with trial and error, I have found a method to FEEL GREAT & AND FIND YOUR OPTIMAL WEIGHT which is adaptable for all lifestyles.

  • No restrictive dieting
  • No excessive exercise programs
  • Learn to listen to and tune into what your body needs

Nutrition is just part of the puzzle when working towards your health goals and creating a healthy balanced lifestyle.

In my practice, we look at ways to include MOVEMENT, REST & RELAXATION as well as supporting EMOTIONAL and mental health.

We are all individuals with unique lifestyles.

It can be difficult for a nutrition therapist to have a beneficial effect on someone's health in one session which is why I created the PERSONAL HEALTH BLUEPRINT.

By completing the lifestyle questionnaire before our session I am able to understand your needs before we meet therefore we can get straight to the important work of creating a plan which will suit your lifestyle now and grow with you as your reach your goals.

It is easy to forget the suggestions made in a standard session or slip back into old comfortable habits within a week or two which is why I provide 28 days of message/email support and accountability.

I help women who are fed up with not feeling their best, lacking energy and just not having enough time for themselves.

We have to be healthy to achieve weight loss not lose weight to be healthy.

Maybe you are, like me, in your 40s and it is hormone imbalance that you need to correct whether that is due to perimenopause, stress, thyroid issues or just years of yo-yo dieting.

By nourishing our body correctly we can achieve all our health goals and more.  We can have healthy hair, skin and nails, boundless energy and with that more time to do things that fulfil our life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am qualified in Nutrition and Weight Management along with Nutrition for Sports and Exercise, Pre and Post Natal Nutrition and Childhood Nutrition and Obesity Prevention.

I have also taken additional training in Applying Intuitive Eating and Non-diet approaches in practice.

I am currently studying Moon Magic in order to understand cyclical living and working with our body and the environment rather than against it along with an Ayurveda Diploma to continue my learning of supporting the body to be healthy naturally.

As a working mum over 40, I understand the difficulties faced in juggling responsibilities of family, home and career as well as trying to find time to make good health a priority.

Before qualifying as a Holistic Nutritional Therapist 3 years ago, I was a childminder for 15 years therefore I have a great deal of experience to draw from in juggling family and business and supporting many types of families.

Further information

My mission is to help women make their health a priority without taking their focus from family, home and business. I do this by helping them create healthy habits and routines that fit their lifestyle today and will continue to fit their life as it ebbs and flows with continual change.

It is a fact that most women want to lose weight. I believe we have to be healthy to lose weight not lose weight to be healthy.

Although I teach a non-diet intuitive eating approach to nutrition, this does not mean you can't want to lose weight, we just approach it in a way that is sustainable for a lifetime.

KEELEY - Would thoroughly recommend one of Sue’s personal health blueprints. I had one and although I thought I had a pretty good diet and lifestyle, my session with Sue made me realise I needed more calories and protein in my diet. Having made the changes she suggested I have been more full and less inclined to snack resulting in 1.8lb weight loss this week. Sue also recommended some supplements relevant to my lifestyle - well worth a one-off payment to get you on the right track! Thanks, Sue 🥰🥰 x

ZOE - I met with Sue today, she was so lovely & informative. Her knowledge was fab I picked up so much to put into use straight away.

KATE - Sue was very knowledgeable in advising me about my diet and I will take on board the advice she gave me. I highly recommend her as a nutrition therapist!

JAYMIE - Sue gave me so much amazing advice while I was struggling to fuel my marathon training. She was there for guidance just at the right time to break my exhausting rut. Such an amazing feeling when I was able to clock up the miles again. Highly recommend.
