About me

Hi, my name is Stiana and I am the founder and owner of The Wellness Junction. I have a private practice in Macclesfield, Bollington and Congleton, but also see clients via Skype. My passion for nutrition developed after I fell ill just over eight and a half years ago. I went from being fairly healthy to being bedridden in the space of a few months. It was a very challenging time of life and I was found that there was very little help or support from conventional medicine. It was through my own personal health condition (which was diagnosed after around ten months) that I discovered the benefits of working with various Nutritional Therapists around the world. This sparked an interest in my own body and the power of food and plant medicine. I have since discovered that I can support my body with the right nutritional lifestyle and am now in a position where I can support others wanting to improve their health and wellbeing.

What to expect from your consultations

Prior to an initial consultation, you will be asked to complete an in-depth Nutrition and Health Assessment Questionnaire, as well as a detailed food diary, which is to be returned prior to the appointment. This information will enable me to gain a deeper understanding of your health profile and provide me with a solid foundation to explore possible root causes, rather than just focusing on individual symptoms.

The initial assessment will be used to investigate the functioning of the body systems and how potential imbalances in these may be affecting your health. During the assessment, I will use a combination of questions, diagnostic tools and may suggest the use of functional tests in order to create a realistic and manageable personalised wellness plan.

Follow-up appointments are used to measure outcomes and revise the plan as well as review and implement the results from laboratory tests.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have spent three years training with the College of Naturopathic Medicine to complete their diploma in Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy.

I have also done my Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) training with Dr. Alison Siebecker.

My personal experience of being bed bound with my health condition has given me a really good foundation for understanding what my clients go through on a daily basis and also how best to support them.

I spent time in India gaining an insight into Ayurvedic Medicine and try to incorporate elements of this into my practice.
