Whatever your goal may be I will work with you, giving you advice which is both realistic within your lifestyle and effective. You will be provided with either a 7-day meal planner or meal time choices to guide you towards your goal. You will also have ongoing email support between appointments.
The first step is to fill in a Nutritional Therapy Questionnaire which will be emailed to you. This includes information about your eating habits, digestion, energy levels, medical history, symptoms and a 3-day food diary. If you are looking for Sports Nutrition advice there is additionally a 7-day training diary. The information you provide will form the backdrop for our initial consultation.
During our initial consultation I will put together a Nutritional Plan for you. This may be a 7-day meal planner or meal time choices depending upon which works best for you. The foods included in the plan will be based upon your likes/dislikes and work towards your goal. Depending upon your needs I may also put a Supplement Plan together for you also.
The Nutritional Plan (and Supplement Plan if applicable) will be emailed to you following the initial consultation. You may also receive information sheets and recipes.
Between appointments I am contactable for any advice or questions you may have on your Nutritional Plan. Support is an important part of the service that I provide.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist, holding a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition. I am also a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
Prior to becoming a Nutritional Therapist I worked in the Health and Fitness industry for 10 years as a Personal Trainer and then a Gym owner. This experience has proved to be complementary to working as a Nutritional Therapist and means I has a wealth of knowledge regarding weight management and sports nutrition.
