About me

I am Shehnaz, a Registered Dietitian with over 11 years experience working in the NHS and Private Practice. 

I provide telephone and video consultations from my own consultancy business - Gutsy Nutrition & Dietetics.

I also provide face to face consultations at Tayside Complete Health, Dundee. 

Training, qualifications & experience

I have worked with clients providing nutritional advice for a wide range of  clinical conditions, including:

  • Coeliac Disease
  • Chronic health conditions leading to unintentional weight loss
  • Diverticular Disease
  • Improvement of general gut health
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohns Disease and Ulcerative Colitis)
  • Stoma (ileostomy and Colostomy) dietary support
  • Treating and preventing nutritional deficiencies, including iron deficiency anaemia
  • Histamine Intolerance and long COVID

In 2014, I trained at King's College London to provide advice for the management of IBS through the low FODMAP diet. I now have 10 years experience helping clients achieve symptom improvement with this diet and have a passion for helping people to find the joy in food again.
