About me

I am an experienced Registered Nutritional Therapist (mBANT) with clinics in Alton and Farnham. I work with clients across the UK via Zoom,  with some face to face consultations in Surrey (when permitted).

Having graduated 10 years ago from the University of West London after studying at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition, I work in a collaborative style, coaching clients through changes they may need to make in order to optimise their health through nutrition.

Areas I can help to address:

  • Energy optimisation
  • Weight management
  • Hormone imbalances
  • Gut disorders
  • Food intolerance and food allergy
  • Skin health
  • Sports nutrition

I also completed the Institute of Functional Medicine AFMCP-UK course in 2017 and the Functional Medicine model is at the core of my work with clients.

I take the time to get a full understanding of your health history, your current lifestyle demands and eating patterns.  Only by really understanding these factors, plus your motivations and concerns, can I build an effective and workable nutrition plan that you’ll be able to implement and continue to follow in order to address your health imbalances.

My aim is to excite and inspire you to make the changes you need by providing encouragement and support through out the process.

As well as focusing on diet and good food, the programme will also address lifestyle issues that may be impacting on health.

I also offer specialised programmes including:

  • 14 day Metabolic Detox (online programme)
  • 90 day Metabolic Balance (see below for more details)

Full details can be viewed on my website: www.goodfoodworks.co.uk.

Coaching Process

The consultation process uses a coaching ethos in order to help introduce change and consolidate new habits around food choices.

Our initial meeting will last for 60-90 minutes during which a full history is discussed, and a nutrition optimization plan is agreed.

Depending on the programme agreed, follow-up coaching sessions are normally conducted every 2-3 weeks to discuss progress and to fine-tune the plan as required, helping to iron out any difficulties and reinforce positive habits.

NB: Nutritional Therapy is not a replacement to conventional medicine and on occasion, a referral to your GP may be recommended.

Testimonials

"Sarah is an excellent nutritionist who balances a great bedside manner with an authoritativeness that never feels intimidating or judgmental. Having realised a while ago that real health allows for no shortcuts, I simply ignored the matter altogether. By my mid-30s, I had reached a weight I found positively embarrassing and I knew I had to change.

My wife has been struggling with weight issues for most of her life, and Sarah gave her a plan that worked very well, without being too rigid. Sarah put us on a plan that works while recognising that 'life happens' and that rather than rigidity, long-term success requires flexibility, discipline and a desire to improve.

Could not recommend Sarah more strongly!”

Jamie & Tom L

"I consulted Sarah to see if diet could improve my painful bladder syndrome. Years of misdiagnosis as urine tract infections and treatment with increasing doses and severity of antibiotics had taken their toll. After an easy-to-complete survey & food diary, Sarah picked up that I also had low energy levels, which were impacting hormone production and general body function. The resultant eating plan was very easy to follow (without great reliance on supplements) and since then, I've had a significant reduction in my bladder symptoms. I also believe having an energised, healthy body helped when we started trying for a baby - we conceived straight away and now I'm the happy mother of a beautiful baby girl."

Alison

"After seeing Sarah to address my low energy level issues, she literally turned my habits around in what seems like overnight.  After an initial ‘timeline’ client history assessment, Sarah managed to accurately pin point areas which may be contributing factors towards my major four o’clock slumps. In the first session Sarah had analysed my client history and prepared a plan of action specific to me and my lifestyle, and given me some excellent tools to help organize and implement the suggested plan imminently. Sarah has rekindled my love affair of interesting foods, broken my addiction to caffeine and helped me spring out of bed in the morning; without the four o’clock lows. Good Food really does work!"

Metabolic Balance
I am a qualified Metabolic Balance Practitioner and offer coaching throughout this 3 month weight loss programme.

Metabolic Balance is a highly-personalised nutrition plan devised in line with blood sample analysis and designed to optimise hormone and metabolic processes to facilitate good health and weight loss.

It is structured in 4 phases, beginning with a 2 day cleanse, followed by a 14 day adjustment phase which then settles in to an 11-week phase where the programme becomes more relaxed. Phase 4 is a 'maintenance' phase introduced once you have reached your weight loss goals.

During the programme you will have up to 7 coaching sessions to help you manage the transition and make the changes a permanent way of life.
