About me

Welcome to my profile. My name is Sally Farmer and I am a fully qualified, BANT and CNHC registered, insured and experienced Nutritional Therapist practicing from Solihull, and my clinic in Wythall, Birmingham.

My passion for nutrition has grown over many years and has been inspired by experiencing many family members gut imbalances. When my daughter was born she developed skin issues and food allergies, and frequent infections. I didn't feel that conventional drug therapy was working for us and so as my passion for finding the root cause of her health problems kept driving me to dig deeper, nutritional therapy became my obvious choice. I was able to use functional testing to take a deeper look behind the scenes and find answers which gave me a wellness path to follow. My daughter became well and aliment free and now only has the odd cold during the winter months as opposed to the all year round infections the she lived with for many years.

I believe in focusing on the 4 pillars of health. Optimal nutrition, exercise, good quality sleep and relaxation. When these elements are addressed and adhered to a better quality of life is restored.

I also practise Bowen therapy/NST to assist clients who suffer with other conditions such as back/ joint and muscular pain, trapped nerves, frozen shoulders or just general stress. This therapy takes the body out of "fight or flight" stress mode and relaxes the nervous system.
It influences many body systems including the nervous system, lymphatic system which triggers detoxification and the muscular/skeletal system to have an over all body balancing effect.
If the structure of the body is imbalanced the function of the body will be compromised.

Bowen/ NST can be used along side nutritional therapy if needed.

About the consultation:
I am available for consultations Monday to Saturday including some evenings. Please enquire for more info on which evenings each week are available. Initial consultations last an hour and once they are booked in a health status questionnaire and food diary is sent out via an email where i will request that it is filled in and sent back to me prior to the consultation. This is an opportunity to write as much information about your condition as possible which enables me to obtain a full picture of your health before going into more detail during the consultation.

I can also offer telephone consultations  for clients from all over the UK, as well as home visits in Solihull and Birmingham if attending an appointment is difficult, or if you are housebound.

Cancellation policy:

Please note that a £20 deposit may be requested to secure the booking. 48 hours notice is required when cancelling an appointment and the deposit will be refunded.

Cancellations inside of this time slot will not be refunded however a change of appointment time is allowed on one occasion at no extra charge. If there is a further cancellation after this there will be no refund and a further deposit will be required.

Training, qualifications & experience

I studied with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London and hold a diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition as a Nutritional Therapist. I also previously held the position of Director of Studies at the  College of Naturopathic Medicine (Birmingham campus) for 2 years.

I have obtained a diploma in Bowen Therapy Technique with Bowtech at Sheffield Hallam University and a diploma in Neurostructural Integration Technique (NST) studied at the International Centre for Neurostructural Integration Technique.

I am also a Reiki Practitioner qualified to 2nd degree level.

I run my own busy clinic that includes all of the above therapies.

I keep up-to-date with the latest in nutritional research via groups and forums that I am a member of, as well as conducting many Continuing Professional Development hours (CPD) that provides ongoing learning as new research comes to light.  Each client I see helps me to keep abreast of all latest research as no two clients are ever the same.

Further information

"I came to Sally with serious tummy issues, with the symptoms of excessive bloating amongst other symptoms. I also felt constantly tired and drained of energy. I was on medication from my Doctor for my condition which just did not seem to resolve the problem. Life was difficult to manage with the constant worry of being at work and having the urge to go to the loo urgently with little warning. I found this very stressful.

I changed my diet and followed the plan Sally had given me, including introducing lots of smoothies & juices for myself & my family and making healthier food choices and as a result, I have lots more energy, my symptoms are gone and I'm very happy to say I am no longer on ANY medication from the Doctor!!

I would recommend Sally and nutritional therapy to anybody"

"I would recommend Sally to anyone wanting a professional treatment for skin or nutritional therapy. I suffer from lupus and had an assessment from Sally . I have taken on board the advice and can't believe how much more energy I have. Her facial skin treatments are fantastic too. Sally looks at the person as a whole and uses her specialist knowledge to support and advise you in what to do. My skin is now amazing and I regularly get comments about my complexion, due to changing my diet and Sally's skincare advice. It's Changed my life xx thanks Sally xx"
