About me

Welcome to my profile. My name is Sally Farmer and I am a fully qualified, insured and experienced Nutritional Therapist practicing from Redditch.

Please visit my website for prices:

My passion for nutrition has grown over many years and has been inspired by witnessing many family members with various health problems, most of which stemmed from lifestyle choices unknowingly. I have spent many years studying and putting into practice the benefits of applying nutritional therapy and seeing amazing results.  Understanding and introducing a healthy balanced diet can support and strengthen all body systems including the digestive system, immune system, hormonal issues etc.

Having healed both my daughters and my own gut problems, has given me first hand experience  and enabled me to help others.

I believe in focusing on the 4 pillars of health. A balanced diet, exercise, good quality sleep and relaxation. When these elements are addressed and adhered to a better quality of life is restored.

Detoxing the body of all of the harmful substances that we accumulate without realizing is also key to good health and managing weight gain and promoting weight loss.  The liver is key to overall good health.

I am able to help and support people in the understanding of what food and nutrition is necessary in supporting poly-cystic ovary syndrome, menopause symptoms,  endometriosis and general men's and women's nutrition

I also practice Bowen therapy/NST to assist clients who suffer with other conditions such as back pain or any muscular/skeletal pain, trapped nerves, frozen shoulders or just general stress. Most people that suffer with back pain have gut issues such as IBS which can cause the back pain.

Re-balancing the pelvis with Bowen therapy can alleviate the back pain and relax and realign the whole body.

If the structure of the body is imbalanced the function of the body will be compromised resulting in tight and painful muscles. This will then generally effecting sleep and quality of life.

Bowen/ NST can be used along side nutritional therapy if needed.

About the consultation:
I am available for consultations Monday to Saturday including some evenings. Please inquire for more info on which evenings each week are available.

Initial consultations last an hour and once they are booked in a health status questionnaire and food diary is sent out via an email where i will request that it is filled in and sent back to me prior to the consultation. This is an opportunity to write as much information about your condition as possible which enables me to obtain a full picture of your health before going into more detail during the consultation.

I can also offer telephone consultations  for clients from all over the UK, as well as home visits in Redditch and surrounding areas such as Solihull and Birmingham if attending an appointment is difficult, or if you are housebound.

Training, qualifications & experience

I studied with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London and hold a diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition as a Nutritional Therapist. I also previously held the position of Director of Studies at the  College of Naturopathic Medicine (Birmingham campus) for 2 years.

I have obtained a diploma in Bowen Therapy Technique with Bow tech at Sheffield Hallam University and a diploma in Neurostructural Integration Technique (NST) studied at the International Center for Neurostructural Integration Technique.

I run my own busy clinic that includes all of the above therapies.

I see a range of clients and have helped many with irritable bowel syndrome and weight gain issues. I also have helped those with life threatening illness.. Nutrition and mental health are also very strongly linked to gut health in particular and can be improved dramatically.

I keep up-to-date with the latest in nutritional research via groups and forums that I am a member of, as well as conducting many Continuing Professional Development hours (CPD) that provides ongoing learning as new research comes to light.  Each client I see helps me to keep abreast of all latest research as no two clients are ever the same.

Further information

"I came to Sally with serious tummy issues, with the symptoms of excessive bloating among other symptoms. I also felt constantly tired and drained of energy. I was on medication from my Doctor for my condition which just did not seem to resolve the problem. Life was difficult to manage with the constant worry of being at work and having the urge to go to the loo urgently with little warning. I found this very stressful.

I changed my diet and followed the plan Sally had given me, including introducing lots of smoothies & juices for myself & my family and making healthier food choices and as a result, I have lots more energy, my symptoms are gone and I'm very happy to say I am no longer on ANY medication from the Doctor!!

I would recommend Sally and nutritional therapy to anybody"

"I would recommend Sally to anyone wanting a professional treatment for skin or nutritional therapy. I suffer from lupus and had an assessment from Sally . I have taken on board the advice and can't believe how much more energy I have. Her facial skin treatments are fantastic too. Sally looks at the person as a whole and uses her specialist knowledge to support and advise you in what to do. My skin is now amazing and I regularly get comments about my complexion, due to changing my diet and Sally's skincare advice. It's Changed my life xx thanks Sally xx"
