About me

My name is Rob and I'm an experienced dietitian available for consultations via video consultation (or phone if you'd prefer). I could also do home visits if you live in the Chester area.

I will usually undertake an assessment first, and will then discuss with you the outcome of this and help formulate a plan.

I work alongside a team of clinical psychologists who specialise in eating disorders, and can therefore help you gain access to this type of support if needed.

I am registered with most insurers, so please let me know if this is relevant to you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I qualified as a dietitian in 2007, and am registered with the HCPC. I am a full member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA).

I have worked in numerous roles in both the NHS and private sector, including extensive experience in both eating disorders and children's nutrition. This includes:

  • NHS/private community eating disorder services for both children and adults
  • NHS/private inpatient eating disorder services for both children and adults.
  • NHS inpatient and community children's nutrition - (including allergy, diabetes, weight management, selective/restrictive eating (including ARFID), faltering growth, genetic disorders, bowel problems and disorders)

I have also worked as a University lecturer, teaching nutrition and dietetics and related subjects up to masters level.

I am also a Clinical Trainer for "Beat" (national eating disorder charity), and provide training on eating disorders to a wide variety of health professionals.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 14 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
