Need help?

I am Bec Wilkins a nutritional therapist that specialises in supporting chronic health issues with a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plans that aims to promote health and well-being. You are unique, and so should your road towards supporting better health.

Evidence is building that demonstrates an evidenced-informed, safe, and personalised approach to nutrition and lifestyle may provide support alongside conventional medical treatment.

Nutritional Therapy may help by:

  • Supporting you holistically
  • Supporting emotional and overall well-being
  • Improving quality of life
  • Providing prevention strategies
  • Allowing you to take some sense of control back over your diet
  • Assurance there are no interactions between supplements, herbal remedies, and pharmaceutical medication to prevent complications
  • Utilising functional and genetic testing to assess your specific risk factors and provide guidance for a truly personalised approach

My Approach

I take time with you to do a deep dive into your case history, your symptoms, the specifics of your circumstances and needs, and look to address imbalances that may support you.

I do this by employing a whole person, functional medicine, systems-based approach to your health that aims to promote health and well-being by looking at how the body is interconnected, including the mind-body connection.

I work in a safe, evidenced-informed, and integrative way with your medical team. I refer on to medical professionals when required.

I don’t offer a one-size-fits-all advice or protocols, you are unique, and my recommendations reflect that by being tailored to you and your particular circumstances and goals.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist having graduated from The Institute for Optimum Nutrition with a distinction.

I am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and a member of the British Association for Integrative Oncology (BSIO). I am fully insured.

I have undertaken extended cancer specific training and mentoring from Dr Nina Fuller-Shavel an integrative and functional medicine doctor on her System Approach to Cancer Course that aims to provide a precision approach to nutritional support for those with cancer. As well as from Carol Granger a leading gut microbiome cancer specialist nutritional therapist.

I keep up to date with the latest research in integrative cancer support and attend multiple conferences yearly to keep up to date with the latest in nutrition science.

I welcome referrals from conventional, functional, and integrative practitioners including GPs, oncologists, integrative and functional medical practitioners, and other complementary therapists. I am interested in working collaboratively in the interest in improving well-being.

A bit about me

My passion for helping others stems from a lifetime of my own chronic complex health issues including my own experience with cancer, so I empathise. I believe in supporting well-being by working in a holistic way.

My particular interests include cancer, chronic health issues, the lymphatic system and lymphedema, nutrigenetics, environmental exposure and illness, and detoxification in our increasingly toxic world.

I have a background in medical product development, with 20+ years’ experience as an engineer who has worked on numerous innovative medical devices and diagnostic instruments, many of which have been related to cancer that help to diagnose and treat this awful disease.

I am based near Cambridge and Saffron Walden in the UK and work with clients online from anywhere.
