Pippa Mitchell DipRaw, mBant, CNHC
Do you think that you could feel healthier, experience improved digestion, feel less fatigued and more energy to get up and go? Do you think your diet could be more nutritious but are confused by the wealth of conflicting information you hear and read about?
If the answer to these questions is 'YES', then why not seek professional advice and get the answers you are looking for?
I have been working as a nutritional therapist since qualifying in 2005. I see the majority of clients on a one-to-one basis but also give talks to groups, schools and gyms as well as running workshops both in the UK and abroad, focusing on specific health conditions. I have featured on various local radio stations where I am frequently asked to comment on current health issues appearing in the media.
I have a particular interest in gut health and am member of the Nutrition team that delivers the popular Health Regime at Grayshott Spa (https://www.grayshottspa.com/health-regime/).
I love encouraging people to make changes to their diet, however small, and let them experience the difference they feel in their health and general well being.
Motivation is the key to getting people to adopt changes and I support clients with individually prepared food plans and ideas on lifestyle management, as well as giving them recipes and shopping ideas.
My consultations are a collaborative process: it is very important to ensure that clients come away with a sense of 'can do' rather than being overwhelmed by advice they think will be hard to achieve.
I am happy to give clients as much support as they feel they need - everyone has different requirements so if you need that extra bit of support, I am there to guide and help you on your path to good health.
After completing a health questionnaire which includes a 3 day food diary and attending your consultation, you will receive:
- your own Action Plan which will explain your symptoms, suitable foods to include and those to avoid, specific dietary recommendations and lifestyle advice
- explanation of recommended supplements (if appropriate) or testing required (including NHS tests)
- printed handouts, recipes and further reading material that may be relevant
- email or phone support after each consultation
Please see my website for a more in-depth explanation of the consultation process
I sought help from Pippa after being constantly run down over a period of 6 months. I know a fair bit about nutrition and work in the health and fitness industry so was really frustrated that I wouldn't get myself back into a positive cycle of health.
Two sessions, a few supplements, a couple of changes to my diet and lots of email support later I have been healthy for over 2 years. I succumbed a few times since then but nothing like the 6 months prior to seeing Pippa. I have maintained all the advice she gave me and feel that I am much more in control of my health. All in all it was money very well spent and I am so pleased that I made the decision to go. Mrs BL, Godalming
Into my sixties now, I have always been interested in eating well and generally had a good diet but was suffering from painful joints in my hands due to osteoarthritis. From the information I supplied to her about my health and well being and eating patterns, Pippa was able to highlight my underlying health issues and over a six week period guide me to improved nutrition and wellbeing. 18 months later my health conditions are under control. I have really benefitted from her practical advice. Mrs EH, Godalming
Training, qualifications & experience
I graduated from the Raworth International College of Natural & Sports Therapies with a diploma in Nutritional Therapy and am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT).
I am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC); membership of which demonstrates to the general public and to other healthcare providers that members conform to national standards of practice in their work. GPs can make referrals to CNHC registered practitioners.
I am fully insured to see clients.
I attend many workshops and lectures to ensure my continuing professional development, and make use of interactive media to ensure that I am up to date with new research in nutrition.
In addition I hold a Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring awarded by the City and Guilds of London Institute which enhances the consultation process for my clients and enables them to fully engage in achieving their health goals.
