About me

I work mainly with hormonal health, gut-related issues, and skin conditions.

Hello, I am Nicola, and I am a qualified Nutritional Therapist and I run my clinics in Plymouth, Devon.

I provide bespoke programmes designed around your nutritional requirements and lifestyle factors to support you to help provide positive changes. Together we focus on health goals one step at a time, helping you to see and feel the results while allowing you to take responsibility for your own health. It is important to remember that you are unique and nutritional therapy is not a “one size fits all” approach.

I simply love helping people to start feeling great again. I want to pass on my knowledge of food and it’s nutritional value to inspire you to take back control of your health and wellbeing.

My aim is to work with you to understand your underlying health imbalances and guide you on your wellness journey. Sometimes functional testing (urine, blood, stool or saliva) is required to help me delve a little deeper to assess what is required to help move your health forward. Any testing will always be discussed with you during your consultation.

A healthy balanced diet is paramount for good health and well-being. What we eat, or rather what we absorb, has a huge impact on our hormones, mood, energy levels, and our general wellbeing. I can help you to achieve the results you are looking for and often it can just be some simple changes to your diet that can make all the difference.

I believe the foundation of good health is built from being able to nourish our bodies with a balance of nutritious foods. If you feed your body with the right nutrients it will provide a healthy, energised and vibrant you.

I've been where you are now, I know how it feels to suffer from bloating, painful cramps, poor digestion and desperately wanting to feel like myself again. I discovered what happens when you don't put your own health first.  Consequently, a long term course of antibiotics left me suffering from own gut-related issues, which impacted on my general wellbeing, hormones, and especially my mood.

My own journey back to wellness lead me to retrain as a Nutritional Therapist at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Bristol after a period of three years of training for a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy. What I learned there has helped me transform my life forever, and now I can help you transform yours.

I am a firm believer that enjoying nourishing foods combined with natural products, that we use on our body and around our home, are the key players in regards to optimal health. Sadly, living in a world that is becoming increasingly polluted we need all the help we can to arm ourselves with the protection that is essential to our health and wellbeing. Aiming to reduce the toxic load we place on our bodies can have such positive results.

This is the time to connect with yourself, raising awareness that as we age each life stage can bring a new challenge. Knowing that you are supported with any health concerns, through easy and simple dietary and lifestyle changes, you can promote feelings of wellbeing. In turn, helping to minimise any worries or health risk concerns.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained as a Nutritional Therapist at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Bristol after a period of three years of training for a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy.

I am a member of the British Association for Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and I am also registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

Creating healthy changes to your diet and lifestyle can take a little time. So a "one-off consultation" with me isn't going to produce the lasting results you may be looking for. However, if you're looking for on-going support (working together for a minimum of three months), I’d love to help you achieve your goals.

My programmes start at £249, for you to start feeling results in your health goals, working together for a minimum of 12 weeks and offering support along the way. I also offer monthly payment plans if required.

Your 12 weekly plan includes:

• Initial consultation lasting around 60 mins

• Monthly 45-60 min review sessions

• Email support throughout

• Nutritional coaching designed around foods to enjoy and beneficial to your needs

• Supplement plan (including nutrient interactions with any any medications you are currently taking)

• Bespoke nutritional and lifestyle plan designed just for you

• Recommendation of any testing (often required for me to get a deeper understanding of your condition/symptoms)

• Interpretation of your testing results

• Weekly or fortnightly 30 min telephone calls for extra support depending on what plan suits your needs

Further information

I work from my beautiful garden office, built by my partner especially for my practice, and which I have aptly called "The Garden Room". I wanted to provide a welcoming area without a desk, I wanted something informal, so that that I can hold my clinic sessions in a comfortable area with warm neutral shades.

I understand that we all lead busy lives, therefore to help support you further, I run my clinic hours and offer evening appointments up until 7:00 pm.

There are a couple of steps to my office space, making it unsuitable for wheelchair users. Home visits to clients with mobility issues would be considered.
