We all know that hormones can make us cranky once a month, but you might be surprised how much of an impact your hormones can have on your weight, energy levels, mood and stress resilience. They regulate your metabolism, which gives you energy and determines how much fat you’re burning or storing - and they don’t just affect your mood from one day to the next, but also your memory and thinking.
You see, this is what happened to me when I hit 40. I never used to be interested in health or nutrition - in fact I used to jump from one fad diet to the next, always managing to just about keep control.
But after 40, I couldn't shift the weight any more. I was exhausted juggling 2 small children and a stressful career. And I wasn't fun to be around, which was impacting my relationships.
I got some help and made some simple changes to my diet and lifestyle. I immediately started to feel better. I lost the stubborn weight I had been holding on to, I had so much more energy and my mood and brain fog lifted.
I was so impressed with the results that I quit my job and trained as a nutritionist to learn more about how food and lifestyle can impact your health.
I am now helping so many women, particularly over 40, to achieve similar results and look and feel their best again.

DipION Nutritional Therapy (Distinction)
British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy
The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy is the professional body for Nutritional Therapists.
There are different BANT membership classes, including Full Member, Fellow Member and Student Member.
All BANT practitioners must have met the required standards of training, be fully insured and adhere to the BANT Code of Ethics and Practice.
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including massage, aromatherapy and nutrition.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
