About me

How I can help you

My name is Maxine, I am an experienced NHS Dietitian able to help you to achieve your health goals and improve your chronic conditions. We’ll do this in private 1-2-1 consultations in a local setting, using proven evidence-based approaches and behaviour change techniques, which are individualised to each patient.

I currently do private consultations in Wolverhampton, where I can see patients from around the West Midlands and surrounding counties.

I am an Accredited low FODMAP diet practitioner. This diet is 70% effective for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)! A few of my specialisms include:

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Type 2 & Gestational Diabetes
  • Weight management
  • Neurological conditions
  • Home enteral feeding
  • General wellness

What is a Dietitian?

Dietitians are like nutritionists but also governed by law and subject to an ethical code. Dietitians are the only qualified health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems at an individual and wider public health level.

What to do to get started

If you'd like to book a consultation with me or have any questions please feel free give a call or email on 07951999884, maxinepalmer@restoremynutrition.co.uk. If you wanted to book I would then send you at pre consultation form to complete and send back to me, to give some background information into your condition. I may need to ask that your request previous test results or medical information from your GP or consultant before coming to see me.

The first session lasts for an hour and we'd use this time to discuss your health goals and concerns, explore the background to your current condition, your enablers and barriers to success, I'll outline the evidence based treatment approach, and work out a treatment plan which is specific to your needs. You would leave with a take home plan. Further sessions may be recommended in order to fulfill your goals, this will be discussed with a suggested time frame for follow up consultations. You are under no obligation to book further consultations. Follow up consultations are 30 minutes long and would involve reviewing the previous plan, and working on the next steps towards achieve your goal. I may need to write to your GP or consultant to recommend tests or brief them on your treatment with me, with your permission.

All sessions can be booked by calling or emailing me or via my website www.restoremynutrition.co.uk
