About me

As a Registered Nutritional Therapist, I'm passionate about empowering and supporting you to optimise your health and well-being.

With a deep understanding of the intricate connection between food and health, I hold a degree in Biochemistry and a postgraduate degree in Personalised Nutrition, allowing me to provide you with fact-based recommendations grounded in the latest scientific research. I stay up-to-date with the ever-evolving field of nutrition and wellness to ensure you receive the most accurate, relevant, and effective advice.

If you're struggling with ongoing health issues such as gut issues, hormonal imbalances, brain fog, fatigue, poor sleep, skin issues, weight fluctuations, or mood swings, I'm here to help.

By examining your health history, dietary habits, and lifestyle, combined with functional and/or nutrigenomic testing, we can uncover the root cause of your health issues and create a personalised health plan tailored to your unique needs.

My story

My passion has always been about developing and supporting people to achieve their goals and be the best they can be.

As a child, I struggled with kidney issues, a restricted diet, and weight gain due to steroid treatment. This sparked my fascination with how the body works, and how nutrition and fitness can support overall and long-term health.

I studied biochemistry with a focus on hormones and then worked in women's health research at Kings College Hospital. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve gained extensive experience working with individuals and teams, developing and coaching them to achieve their goals.

My own challenging experiences through my hormonal journey, gut health issues, low thyroid function, and the loss of control I felt, led me to study personalised nutrition, and to become a nutritional therapist.

Good nutrition is all about making the right choices. I'll help you understand those choices, integrate them into your lifestyle, and regain control over your health.

My approach

Many people seek out a nutritional therapist after years of frustration with diets, struggling with persistent symptoms, feeling unheard, and being told their test results are normal despite their ongoing issues.

Being a nutritional therapist is all about detective work. I take the time to fully explore your life and health history, understanding that past medications, illnesses, life events, and stressors may all contribute to your current health issues.

My approach focuses on educating and empowering you, and providing the dietary and lifestyle tools to support you in making simple, effective changes.

Together, we create a simple and sustainable plan to support your health and wellness.

What to expect when working with me.

Questionnaire

The first step is completing a comprehensive health questionnaire. Being as specific as possible  helps me understand your issues and needs, with the understanding that there may be some areas which are less clear that we can discuss during the initial consultation.

Initial consultation

During this first consultation, I will focus on understanding you and your body, exploring your family history, your unique health history, and discussing your current food choices, lifestyle, work life, physical activity levels, sleep and stressors. We will then work together to clearly define your priorities and your short-term and long-term goals.

Personalised health plan

The key to this plan is collaboration. In order for you to commit to achieving your goals we work together to make sure the plan is sustainable and that changes are simple and manageable for you and are reflective of your preferences and lifestyle.

Both dietary and lifestyle changes are may be included however any recommendations will be tailored to your likes and dislikes. Other elements such as supplement recommendations may also be included dependent on analysis of your health questionnaire and/or test results.

Tests and specialists

Where needed, I may recommend additional functional testing including nutrigenomic (DNA) testing which could involve blood, saliva, urine, or stool samples. These tests would be discussed with you prior to any arrangements being made. The information provided by these tests can help provide me with a clearer picture of your how your body is working and of your individual needs.

To ensure comprehensive and accurate results, I recommend using reputable private companies rather than relying on the GP. These tests are faster, more reliable, and provide a wide range of markers indicating where changes may be needed. I may also refer you to specialists such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, or herbalists if I believe it would be beneficial for your health and well-being.

My aim is to work alongside your GP and other medical professionals supporting a multi-pronged approach to achieving your health and wellness goals.
