I help you eat for a healthy mind and body, empowering you to make changes to your diet and lifestyle to improve your weight, digestion and energy, getting rid of cravings and developing strategies for emotional eating. I have developed my Joyful Eating Programmes which are a combination of nutrition science and motivational coaching which has a track record in helping clients to successfully achieve effective and sensible weight loss and longer term maintenance. I provide a nutrition portal/app for monitoring progress and food diaries over an agreed period of time enabling clients to stay focused and achieve better results.
Over the past 18 years, I have gained specialist knowledge and experience in the following areas:

I offer one to one consultations and also coach either one to one, with couples, or in small groups. Topics I cover within my weight loss programme focus on re-training the mind: emotional eating, controlling cravings, getting rid of limiting beliefs and changing long held habits. The nutrition component of the programme is a low GL Nutrition Plan to balance blood sugar, with the emphasis on healthy food and lifestyle choices rather than dieting. We also cover food labelling, healthy choices for eating out and explore new foods and recipes for exciting menu planning that the whole household can enjoy!
I advise on supplementation and relevant testing, menu planning, food labelling, cooking as well as help you with your shopping list to stock a healthy kitchen.

British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy
The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy is the professional body for Nutritional Therapists.
There are different BANT membership classes, including Full Member, Fellow Member and Student Member.
All BANT practitioners must have met the required standards of training, be fully insured and adhere to the BANT Code of Ethics and Practice.
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including massage, aromatherapy and nutrition.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I also offer a 30 minute body composition analysis session for £60, 50% of which will be deducted off a full programme should you wish to continue with a Joyful Eating Programme.
