About me

CORONAVIRUS

Due to recent developments with COVID-19 and further lockdown, my clinic is temporally  closed. All consultations and holistic treatments are in clinic are suspended.

I am still however available for consultations and advice via video, phone  and email. Please contact me to arrange an appointment.

Hi my name is Katherine and I am a fully qualified nutritionist and wellbeing therapist. I specialise in creating specific solutions, working to support many problematic dietary and health issues.

I work holistically, meaning that I look at everything to get a detailed picture of you. I take into account your lifestyle, medical history, including any past and current problems, addressing the whole body. Rather than just looking at symptoms, my target is to find their root cause. This not only tackles your immediate concerns, but helps you restore your health, your wellbeing and prevent future reoccurrence.

My own interest in nutritional therapy came about through ill health, due to an autoimmune disorder and associated problems. Inspired by my personal experiences, my desire to help others led me to study for a degree in Human Nutrition. Since then my passion and drive to help others find solutions to many dietary and other health related issues has flourished.

'How nutritional advice can help'

Eating as healthily as possible is very important to fuel our bodies properly. What we eat has an effect on every single cell and system within it and understanding how your body copes with digestion is also vital to how you feel. So many health conditions can be helped and improved by understanding how your body, individually, interacts with food.

I thrive on working with people to help them understand their own unique systems, assisting with a large variety of dietary issues and health problems. I enable my clients to take back control of their health and vitality. My main aim is to leave you feeling well, armed with the personal information and skills to manage your diet for life!

I also work with the sporting community, and I offer bespoke nutrition plans, supporting a variety of sports and activities. Each sport is different, every athlete uniquely individual, with a vast array of nutritional needs and personal requirements.

Reiki treatment also became part of my own personal healing programme. This led me to go further, train and become a Reiki Master Practitioner. As a fully qualified nutritionist and Reiki Master I am here to help.

Nourish - Restore - Revitalise.

Training, qualifications & experience

I studied at Northumbria University, graduating with a first class degree (BSc hons) in Human Nutrition.  I am also a qualified Reiki Master Practitioner.

I am registered with the Association for Nutrition (ANutr) and the Federation of Holistic Therapists. I am also fully insured and a member of the nutrition society.

My methods are evidence and science based and I have keen interest in keeping up to date with research and development.
