About me

I am a Registered Nutritional Therapist and Certified Health Coach based in Surrey, near to London. I have always been passionate about supporting people's health. Originally I trained as a Nurse, and have managed both chronic and acute disease for 20 years. I was inspired to train as a nutritionist after turning my own (and family) health around. I have undertaken functional medicine training and enjoy getting to the root cause of symptoms and finding out what is going on for each person as it will invariably be different.

My main areas of focus are women's hormonal health, and gut and digestion issues. I always apply a holistic '360',  individualised approach looking at not only diet, but lifestyle and emotional blocks to wellness. I'm a Mum of two children, and so understand the challenges of juggling family, work and wellbeing.

I am a great believer in the mind - body connection, and the importance of addressing both emotional and physical health as they are intrinsically linked. I therefore trained to become an EFT ('tapping') practitioner. EFT is an evidence based therapy effective in supporting a range of issues, such as stress, low mood, pain, physical symptoms and self limiting beliefs. It involves tapping on acupuncture points and is non-invasive. It is a powerful tool to increase well being and effectively support both physical and mental issues.

My main areas of focus (but not limited to) are:

  • Gut health & digestion issues
  • Women's Health - Hormonal support throughout the life stages
  • Fatigue
  • Blood sugar balancing
  • Food allergies/intolerance
  • Immune support
  • I support both adults and teenagers.

What is nutritional therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is an evidence-based approach to maximising one’s health (physical and emotional) potential through individually formulated nutritional and lifestyle changes. It promotes the benefits of good, wholesome, unprocessed foods for optimal well being, as well as the therapeutic effects of particular foods for specific health conditions.

How Natural Nutritional Health can help you

Natural Nutritional Health aims to help you feel the best you can. It is about supporting your body back into balance and harmony through eating the right food and addressing any imbalances through diet and lifestyle changes. I work using the functional medicine model, a science based approach to health and healing that looks at the body as a whole and assesses the underlying causes of symptoms that manifest themselves as disease. I will strive to address the root cause of symptoms, with the aid of diagnostic tools and thorough assessment of your unique needs. Nutritional Therapy complements and can support conventional medicine, it is not a case of either/or. I can also support you if you are just trying to eat more healthily or require weight management advice.

Straightforward Nutrition/Lifestyle Plans

Will be individually created for you which make sense and are achievable. These will incorporate your goals as well as consider limitations, such as illness, time or financial constraints. I have a passion for supporting people to be happier and able to live life in the way they hope to. I always address the whole person and not just the symptoms. I strive to empower the individual to make positive changes with a supportive and empathic manner, utilising up to date evidence based research.

Nutrition Programmes

I have found from personal experience with all of my clients that the best, long-term results are achieved with more regular support over a series of appointments and regular check-ins. Most health issues have taken a while to manifest themselves and cause the symptoms you are having. In order to identify the cause of these issues and support you to achieve long term results and wellness, a longer commitment is required to get you where you want to be, and feeling as good as you can. For best results, I offer the 'Re-focus' and the more in depth 'Re-balance' programme to help achieve this, with a level of support and accountability which enables you to make sustainable, positive change. Please do contact me if you would like to explore which programme would be suitable for you. I also offer a nutrition 'M.O.T' for those who would only like a dietary review and do not need to address ongoing health issues.

TESTIMONIALS

I'd given up hope of finding any relief from my symptoms without resorting to medication until I spoke to Juliet. I signed up to a 12 week programme and was amazed at the amount of time she spent with me to develop a regime that suited me. Juliet's approach is very holistic and she makes sure that any suggestions are going to work within your lifestyle. I always felt very comfortable discussing my symptoms as she's very compassionate and has a wealth of knowledge. I experienced a significant reduction in my symptoms during the 12 week programme and now feel I have control over them. F.C, Surrey

?I’ve been getting on really well. I haven’t actually had any symptoms at all for about 2 months. Thank you so much for your help to date, it’s been life changing, literally!  L.W, Surrey

?Juliet is superb at what she does and I can honestly say that working with her has transformed my life. I went to see her due to skin issues I had developed at 40. She focused on this but also importantly my thyroid health as have had thyroid issues for over 20 years. I really didn't think anything could change on this front and have just got used to the symptoms I learnt to live with. However, I'm staggered by how good I now feel. Energy levels so much better, aching and fatigue gone, mood massively improved and more balanced and basically feel better and happier than I have in a very long time. My skin is also improved and back to standard hormonal breakouts but these are reduced and skin health is overall noticeably better. I really like her approach which is to look at everything in the round and sets up a whole programme of dietary, lifestyle and supplement support. Going to Juliet has been one of the best things I've ever done.  Chloe C.B, Surrey

?Juliet has been a go to source of help and advice for our family for the last 18 months. I went to her primarily to help with my 13yr old son who was suffering with unexplained severe abdominal pains. She sensitively and methodically helped us unpick some food intolerances and has supported us through the process of greatly improving our family diet whilst eliminating some of his trigger foods. He has willingly embraced her suggestions (which isn't always easy with teens) and is now a far more vibrant, pain free 14 year old. Our journey has inspired me to take a much greater interest in nutrition and I feel I've learned so much through the process. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Juliet if you have any concerns over yours or your family's health - she's warm, approachable and professional. Kerry G, Surrey

'Juliet offered a thoughtful, careful, detailed and holistic assessment of my symptoms. She effortlessly combines an in depth understanding of Western medical approaches with her specialist nutritional therapy. I have consulted Juliet regarding a number of symptoms. I have found the treatments easy to follow and highly effective. Seeking treatment with Juliet has significantly enhanced my health and sense of well-being!' Liz. M, London

A couple of years ago, I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and the most scary aspect of this are the heart palpitations that occur with any sort of emotional upset. Whilst the medical profession have have been very helpful, the different types of medication they offered me have not been effective. The protocol Juliet put together for me has very much reduced my symptoms. I am very grateful to Juliet for her input which has made a big difference to me. Jennifer. H, Surrey.

'Juliet has a wealth of knowledge regarding nutrition and is extremely passionate about what she does. I found her very approachable and she listened to my needs. I think it's great that she also has a nursing background so she can look at the whole picture. I will definitely be recommending her to my friends and family.' Karen. S, Surrey

'I have found Juliet to be a kind and compassionate therapist. She is very knowledgeable with a depth of experience. I would highly recommend her.' Sarah. E, London

Juliet’s great support and advice resolved a health problem which would on previous occasions have required medical treatment. My issue improved and I avoided needing medical intervention. She was very knowledgeable, and her medical background alongside her nutritional expertise meant I was safely advised. I will definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to others.
