About me

I see clients in one to one consultations at The Barefoot Studio outside Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan. Nutritional therapy aims to enhance your overall health and wellbeing and may also be relevant to those with chronic conditions. It recognises that each one of us is biochemically unique and addresses individual imbalances to identify how they may be contributing to any health concerns. It helps you to get your body back in balance.

The right nutrition may improve your energy and vitality, your mood, help you achieve good blood sugar balance, improve your digestion and manage your weight in a healthy way.

Clients are initially asked to complete a nutrition and lifestyle questionnaire before the consultation which will last an hour. Taking into account current nutritional status, food preferences and any medications, personalised nutrition plans are devised to support you in optimising your health. Follow up consultations are usually 3-4 weeks later.

The award winning Metabolic Balance nutritional programme is also offered; this was the result of over 25 years of research by Germans doctors and nutritionists. It is based on your individual blood and biochemistry test results, from which a lifelong plan is devised. This consists of healthy everyday foods that will help to balance your hormones, resulting in a healthy weight adjustment. It is hugely successful for people who have a history of yo-yo dieting as it encourages the body to burn fat rather than carbohydrate. The plan is also very anti-inflammatory so supporting those with chronic inflammatory conditions. Energy and vitality are also improved, as is sleep quality.
