About me

... specialising in a Functional Medicine & PNI approach, particularly in relation to problems with stress, fatigue, mood & digestion.

Getting to the root cause of health issues (as opposed to just dealing with symptoms) - I have trained using the Functional Medicine approach, and functional test investigations may help provide the information needed.

I've got a special interest in stress & the gut, and I've worked with both adults & teenagers with fatigue and poor recovery following illness & infections.

My approach includes helping you set realistic health goals & supporting your motivation, using coaching techniques seamlessly woven into the consultation process.

Information about health conditions (*)

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Further information

Changing my eating habits helped me cope & perform better - juggling a exhausting technical job with travel & home life - first-hand experience of the health effects of better nutrition

The nutritional therapy process is often one of detective work, the therapist & client working together to piece together the jigsaw.  This is when functional testing can make the difference, and help point the right direction.  And healthy eating is a great place to start.

For example, energy problems, or fatigue, can sometimes relate to a number of different issues:

- Thyroid problems,
- Adrenal problems,
- Digestion issues,
- low levels of nutrients that the body needs to produce energy .... and there may be others.

So, do you wake up tired in the morning? feel Wired & Tired all day?
Is your tummy in trouble? or your gut irritable?

If a nutritionist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the nutritionist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
