About me

I am an experienced and passionate nutritional therapist dedicated to offering my clients personalised nutrition programmes based on the latest scientific evidence. My goal is to support, encourage and guide my clients in making positive, manageable dietary changes to achieve their individual health or fitness goals. I work with a range of clients with a variety of health concerns, but have particular expertise in healthy weight management, female health conditions and hormone balance, and gut/ digestive health issues. I am also a passionate advocate for the benefits of a plant based way of eating.

Personalised nutritional therapy is a fantastic tool for healthy weight management. I focus on supporting my clients in making sustained dietary changes tailored to their specific requirements which, in turn, lead to long term healthy weight management, rather than 'quick fix' diets which frequently only achieve short term, unsustainable results.

For my female clients, for instance those going through peri-menopause, suffering from PMT, PCOS or painful or heavy periods the unwanted symptoms due to these conditions can really affect their quality of life. Nevertheless, so many women feel that they have to accept these symptoms as part of being a woman and may well have been told that little can be done to improve how they feel. However, this is rarely true! For the majority of women, female health conditions and hormonal imbalances can be addressed and symptoms can be managed and improved with the right support.

Nutritional therapy is most effective when applied as a guided course of therapy over a period time. Think of it as starting a new exercise class or learning a new skill; one session or lesson is rarely enough to reap the benefits, it is the long term commitment which yields the results. Therefore to help give my clients the best chance of achieving their health goals, I offer a range of comprehensive programmes of support.

Training, qualifications & experience

I graduated with a BSc in Nutritional Medicine from the University of West London in 2011. I am fully insured to practice and am a member of the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (FNTP). After graduation, I took a period of maternity leave and founded Nourish & Renew in 2015.

I work with a wide range of clients including individuals, couples & families of all ages from young children and teenagers to pensioners. As such I have supported clients with a variety of health concerns including healthy weight management, sports nutrition, digestive and gut health, chronic disease management, hormonal imbalances and female health problems, fertility and pre/ post natal health, skin health, fatigue, musculoskeletal conditions, disordered eating patterns and general wellbeing.

I have extensive expertise in supporting clients with healthy weight management, female health conditions and digestive health, and I also have a specialist interest in plant based nutrition (e.g. Mediterranean, as well as vegetarian & vegan diets).

Prior to setting up my nutrition practice I worked as a dental practice manager for over 15 years at a busy West London practice. I currently live in Leicester with my husband and two children.

Information about health conditions (*)

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Additional information

Consultations via video or telephone are currently available 7 days at week at various times, please see consultation timings below or contact me for more details.

Due to Covid 19 and the fact that my practice is home based I am only able to offer consultations via video or telephone for the time being. I hope to be able to resume in person consultations in late 2021, or early 2022.

Consultation package & programme fees include all consultation time in addition to the time spent reviewing my client's pre-consultation health questionnaire and food diary prior to the intital appointment, researching my client's case and therapeutic options and creating, compiling and delivering a personalised written nutrition plan. Programme fees also include amendments to the written nutrition plan as and when required throughout the programme, along with unlimited email support; see below for details.

Fees do not include nutritional supplements or functional tests, both of which are entirely optional and will be offered to clients only as considered necessary. All of my clients can benefit from a 10% discount on the RRP on most supplements and functional tests when ordered directly from me.

The majority of my clients achieve their best results and greatest satisfaction from nutritional therapy when we work together over a period of time. For this reason, a structured programme of nutritional support is the most effective and beneficial option for most people. This allows my client and I to build a strong therapeutic relationship and provides far greater support, encouragement, motivation and accountability to my clients than a 'one off' consultation can achieve. However, I do appreciate that a single consultation is more appropriate for some clients, and I do therefore offer this as an option.

If you are unsure as to which nutrition programme is right for you, please feel free to contact me to discuss your needs.

I am happy to offer a free 15 minute 'discovery' telephone consultation to all new clients. Please not that I cannot give nutrition advice during these calls.

All clients are welcome to choose which nutrition programme is most suitable for them after the initial 1 hour consultation has been carried out. Clients will need to need to make their decision within 48hours of the initial consultation.

                             CONSULTATION PACKAGES & PROGRAMMES:

All programmes, with the exception of the New Client Consultation Packages (standard and mini), are delivered over a 12 - 16 week period. Depending on how much contact and support is required, this can be delivered as either 3 x review sessions over 12 weeks, 6 x review sessions over 12 weeks or 9 x review sessions over 12 - 16 weeks. Each review session is approximately 30 minutes in length. All programmes include unlimited email support over the 12 - 16 week period, along with amendments to the written nutrition plan as and when required throughout the programme.

Each client's programme will be unique to them, and will be structured around their unique requirements. My client and I will usually agree upon the framework of the programme during the initial consultation. For example, we may agree to focus on those areas of their health which are most important to them first, and then move onto other health concerns at a later stage during the programme. Alternatively, we may draw up a series of goals to work towards during the programme. I generally encourage clients to book in their review sessions at the beginning of the programme, this not only has practical advantages but also helps put in place structure and accountability and gives the client goals to work towards.

Standard New Client Consultation Package; 1  - 1.5 hour consultation, written nutrition plan with 3 day meal plan & recipe folder (see below for details of what is included in the nutrition plan): £180

Mini New Client Consultation Package; 60 minute consultation, written nutrition plan with 1 day meal plan: £120

Both of the above new client packages are ideal for clients who would like a one off consultation and nutrition plan but are not looking for longer term support. Nutrition advice will be given during the consultation and an in depth personalised written nutrition plan will be sent out to the client after the session.

Your nutrition plan will be presented in a folder and will typically include the following:

A detailed summary of my advice as given during the consultation

Specific dietary guidelines to follow with rationale

Serving size guide

Shopping list

3 day meal plan including a range of meal & snack ideas (1 day meal plan with mini package)

A recipe folder containing 25 - 30 recipes tailored to your plan including breakfast, light meals, main meals and snacks (not included with the mini package)

List of resources to help clients find recommended food items/ brands etc.

Nutritional supplement recommendations (if relevant)

Information / advice sheets e.g. relating to specific nutrients or health concerns etc. (if relevant)

                                                Nutrition Programmes

All programmes include the written nutrition plan as outlined above, plus a 5 day meal plan & recipe folder. Each programme also includes amendments to the written nutrition plan as and when required throughout the programme.

Light Nutrition Programme; 1- 1.5 hour initial consultation, written nutrition plan, 5 day meal plan, recipe folder, plus 3 x 30 minute follow up sessions over 12 weeks & unlimited email support: £240 individual / 280 couple or family

The Light nutrition programme provides extended support via the inclusion of 3 x 30 minute follow up sessions. This programme is suited to clients who are looking for some level of longer term support, but do not require regular contact or a more in depth commitment.

Exclusive Nutrition Programme: 1 - 1.5 hour initial consultation, written nutrition plan, 5 day meal plan, recipe folder,  plus 6 x 30 minute follow up consultations over 12 weeks and unlimited email support: £300 individual / 340 couple or family

This programme includes the initial 1 - 1.5 hour consultation in addition to longer term commitment and extensive support over a number of months. This programme is the perfect choice for clients who are looking for regular contact,  guidance, support, encouragement and accountability. The regular follow up sessions allow a strong relationship to be built between client and therapist enabling clients to really invest in positive dietary changes and have the best chance of achieving their health goals.

Premium nutrition programme; 1- 1.5 hour initial consultation, written nutrition plan, 5 day meal plan, recipe folder, plus 9 x 30 minute follow up consultations over 12 - 16 weeks and unlimited email support: £360 individual / 400 couple or family

The premium programme provides the ideal investment for those clients who are looking for an exceptional level of support and commitment and who would really appreciate regular, in depth, one-to-one professional guidance to help them along the journey towards achieving their health goals. Over a period of 12 - 16 weeks my client and I will meet for 10 consultations in total, allowing us to work step by step through the nutrition programme at a pace which suits the client. Working together in this way on a regular basis enables me as the therapist to bring encouragement, guidance and accountability to my client and enables my client to feel supported, motivated and confident. Moreover, during the course of the programme the client's own nutrition knowledge and skills will develop and grow. This ultimately helps the client to progress and to continue to experience the benefits of positive dietary change well into the future.

One- off Consultations not as part of a package or programme; £50 per hour (minimum consultation time 15 minutes)

One - off sessions are charged by the hour. These sessions do not include a detailed nutrition plan, but a written summary of my advice will be sent out to the client after the session. These sessions are most suited to clients who have already completed a package or programme.

I offer a 10% reduction on all the above fees for children aged 12 and under, and a 5% reduction for full time students with valid ID.
