About me

As an holistic nutrition practitioner I am dedicated to offering my clients personalised advice based on the latest nutrition science. I offer detailed nutrition plans tailored to my clients' individual needs. My ultimate aim is to help my clients pro-actively take their health into their own hands, and make life long positive changes.

I am truly passionate about naturally nourishing, life-giving food, and strongly believe in the ability of personalised nutrition to support health by restoring balance and by harnessing the body's innate healing abilities.

Nutritional therapy does not diagnose or treat disease, and is not a replacement for medical advice. Rather practitioners use a range of tools to help find and assess biochemical, metabolic and nutritional imbalances which may be contributing to an individuals symptoms and health concerns.

Nutritional therapy can effectively be applied to support all manner of chronic complaints Including; gastrointestinal problems, skin complaints, bone and joint conditions, autoimmune diseases, thyroid problems, hormonal imbalances, female health concerns including PMS, fertility, irregular periods and painful periods, blood sugar imbalance and sub-optimum immunity etc. Treatment is additionally helpful in supporting clients who are experiencing fatigue, chronic stress, allergies and intolerances etc.

Nutritional therapy is also an effective tool for detoxification, healthy weight management and peak performance, and can help to enhance and optimise general health & wellbeing. Treatment can also be helpful in supporting those recovering from disordered eating patterns and can additionally be applied to design & support special & restricted diets e.g. vegetarian, vegan, gluten and dairy free.

Training, qualifications & experience

I graduated with a BSc in Nutritional Medicine from the University of West London in 2011. I am fully insured to practice and am a member of the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (FNTP).

I have worked with a wide range of clients including individuals, couples & families of all ages from young children and teenagers to pensioners. As such I have supported clients with a variety of health concerns including healthy weight management, sports nutrition, digestive health, chronic disease management, hormonal imbalances and female health problems, fertility and pre/ post natal health, skin health, fatigue, musculoskeletal conditions, disordered eating patterns and general wellbeing.

I have a specialist interest and expertise in whole food, plant based nutrition (e.g. Mediterranean style vegetarian and vegan diets). I also have a particular interest in female health conditions and have supported many women and men with healthy weight management.

Prior to setting up my nutrition practice I worked as a dental practice manager for over 15 years at a busy west London practice. I currently live in Leicester with my husband and two children.

Information about health conditions (*)

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Consultations are currently available on Saturdays, Friday afternoons, Weekday evenings and occasionally at other times during the week. Please contact me to enquire about times and availability.

Consultations are usually carried out in person, alhough I am also happy to offer Skype / tele- consultations consultations if preferred.

Fees include the consultation time in addition to the time spent reviewing my client's consultation form and food diary prior to the intital appointment, researching my client's case and therapeutic options, creating a personalised written nutrition plan and providing support to my client post-consultation via telephone and email as required.

Fees do not include nutritional supplements or functional tests, both of which are entirely optional and will be offered to clients only as considered necessary.

Many clients will benefit from attending a follow up session to monitor and review their progress. However this is very much up to the individual and for some clients an initial consultation is sufficient for their needs. The overall aim of nutritional therapy is to educate the client and enable them to take control over their own health in the long term.

If you are unsure as to which nutrition package is right for you, please feel free to contact me to discuss your needs.
