About me

I practise in East Lothian, running consultations in Dunbar and Haddington. My goal is to help clients use the amazing power of food to support their health. A key part of my role is to understand the individual circumstances of clients so that my recommendations are practical and achievable.

I really enjoy helping people who are simply overwhelmed by the massive amounts of (often contradictory) information about healthy eating that's out there at the moment and being able to put my suggestions in the context of what's happening in their bodies.

My ultimate aim is to enable the people who come for nutritional therapy to feel that they are playing an active and positive role in their health and for this to bring them long term benefits.

Alongside my nutritional therapy practise, I also write a blog covering topics around nutrition and lifestyle medicine which is easily accessible from my website. I love writing so this is a really satisfying and stimulating way for me to combine my interests.

Training, qualifications & experience

I've always had a strong interest in nutrition and health and after relocating to Scotland after 13 years in Australia I decided to formalise this by completing a 3-year training program with the College of Naturopathic Medicine and now hold a Diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition.

As my studies progressed and I implemented more of the nutritional principles that were being covered, I was just amazed by how much better I felt - when I already thought that I was reasonably healthy! I believe that this process of change in my own diet and lifestyle has helped me to be a better practitioner as I understand the rewards and challenges along the way.
