Further information

My path to becoming a nutrition therapist wasn’t straightforward. As a wife, mother, and business professional, I have balanced many roles simultaneously.

A significant part of my journey is my 20-year marriage to someone with Type 2 diabetes. Experiencing this condition up close has deeply influenced my growth into a successful nutrition therapist and coach.

When we first encountered this ‘hidden condition’ 15 years ago, there was little awareness or discussion about blood sugar imbalances, insulin resistance, and diabetes. I call it ‘hidden’ because it sneaks up on you, starting with minor glucose imbalances that you might brush off, but rapidly progressing to pre-diabetes. Despite diligent management, it often leads to a reliance on medication to cope with full-blown Type 2 diabetes.

Every few years, it seemed the only change was an increase in the number and dosage of medications. And this was just the tip of the iceberg. Alongside came associated weight gain, high triglycerides, diabetic neuropathy, NAFLD, hypertension, and the list seemed endless. It was then that I paused, took a step back, and realized that this couldn’t be the only solution.

Driven by an urge to uncover the science behind this condition and find solutions, I made the bold decision to take a break from my successful corporate career and return to college to become a certified nutrition therapist.

Today, fueled by my passion for diet and nutrition and guided by my mission to combat the diabetic epidemic, I’ve successfully supported and even reversed diabetes for numerous clients, friends, and family, including my husband.
