Deepa has clinics in Hampstead and St John's Wood and is the founder of London Nutritional Advisory, a Metabolic Balance Coach and a Health Coach.
Deepa believes every single physiological and biochemical process in the body is governed by nutrition. Her role as a nutritional therapist is to restore a person’s physical, mental, and spiritual balance, and overall sense of well-being. In her opinion, this can only be achieved effectively by addressing the root cause of imbalances in the body and not by addressing just the symptoms.
Deepa has focused her research and professional development on gastrointestinal and hormonal imbalances. Clients often consult her for support on these issues. She also creates healthy eating protocols for clients who need support with weight management.
She offers metabolic balancing for clients with raised cholesterol and triglycerides, hypertension and weight gain. A unique individualized food plan is calculated based on blood haematology and biochemistry results. This program helps to optimize insulin and cortisol, the two hormones that are closely linked to blood sugar balance and weight.
Deepa uses a science-based approach, aided by an all-encompassing questionnaire to gather information on hereditary, environmental, lifestyle, stress, and dietary factors, followed by in-depth discussions with the client. If necessary, she may recommend tests to garner specific information to enhance her understanding when mapping out a client’s recovery plan. Deepa works with functional testing laboratories in UK and USA.
Deepa believes providing the plan is not enough for positive outcomes. She provides encouragement, education, behavioural change therapies and accessibility to get the best outcomes for her clients.
A mother of two, Deepa has lived and worked in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. This has contributed to her understanding of cultural and dietary influences across geographies. A passionate cook herself, she creates innovative and personalized meal plans that are easy to follow, offer variety, and are achievable for the client.
