Hi and thank you for browsing through my profile. I'm Carolina and a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist practising from Hall Green in Birmingham and Leamington Spa.
As well as face to face appointments, I offer telephone consultations nationwide and home visits in Hall Green, Leamington Spa, and surrounding areas if attending an appointment is difficult, or if you are housebound (including weekends, please contact me for availability).
In addition, I conduct supermarket tours if you are unsure how to shop for healthy foods.
I am a fully registered and insured practitioner with the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I regularly attend conferences, workshops and seminars, and subscribe to medical journals, to keep up-to-date with the very latest in nutritional research.
I embrace a variety of health issues, whether supporting those with gastro-intestinal complaints, hormonal issues, weight management, low energy levels and stress, to those suffering with serious chronic disease. Please see the testimonials on my website, Facebook page and Google reviews on how I have supported these clients successfully.
For corporate clients, my services include talks on various subjects, group question and answer sessions, one to one consultations, tasting tables, and cookery demonstrations. Please contact me or visit my website for further information.
Training, qualifications & experience
My passion for food and nutrition (which stems from my Spanish mother whereby good nutrition was always of central importance) led me to study with both the University of West London and the renowned College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. On completing my studies after 5 years, I gained Certificates in Personal and Professional Development and a Diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition.
I am also City and Guilds Accredited in Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering, First aid trained, and hold a clear Enhanced DBS checked certificate.
I practice as a Nutritional Therapist with both private and corporate clients. My experience includes:-
- Corporate clients such as Sainsbury's/Argos, HSBC Bank PLC, Mamas and Papas, Four Communications.com, and Innovise Ltd.
- At a cancer support centre supporting clients in maintaining an optimal diet to help alleviate side effects from cancer or its treatment. Moreover, I am a member of the AXA PPP nutrition network of registered practitioners offering approved cancer nutritional support in conjunction with Penny Brohn UK.
- Presentations and cookery demonstrations regarding nutrition and healthy eating, in schools throughout the country, to children aged 3 -18 years.
- Supporting clients in recovery, through diet, at a renowned UK addictions and eating disorders rehabilitation clinic.
- Radio interviews for regional radio stations.

If you have been diagnosed or suspect you may have this medical condition, you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.
Prior to your initial consultation, it would assist me if you could complete a health questionnaire and 3 day food diary top give me some indication of your health and diet. I can then build a general picture of you and your dietary preferences; this will assist me in offering suitable alternatives.
The initial consultation will last 1 hour and having taken a full case history, we will discuss possible contributory factors and make suggestions to help alleviate symptoms and bring about an improvement in your health and well-being. A personalised diet and life-style plan will then be fully researched, formulated and emailed to you within 24-48 hours (excluding weekends and festive holidays). I will also offer a sample 7 day menu planner, handouts, and recipe ideas, if required. Diagnostic tests may also be recommended to help determine any health concerns but these are purely optional and their reason for their recommendation fully explained. Your personalised plan may also include supplement recommendations where my practitioner discount will be offered.
Initial Consultation to include a food diary review, personalised plan, sample 7 day menu-planner, and/or analysis of NHS blood test results (if already available):- £85.00
Follow-up consultations may be advised, to monitor progress and make further changes or recommendations, if required.
Follow-up Consultation (up to 45 minutes) with food diary review and analysis of NHS blood test results (if this has been requested) and follow-up personalised plan:- £65.00
Test interpretation whereby private laboratory testing has been arranged and the results are relayed and explained to you, with a follow-up plan on how to progress with your health (45 minutes) - £65.00
8 Week Health and Wellbeing package (includes initial and follow-up consultations):- £250
This is a programme to help keep you committed and motivated. Many of my clients see great benefits following this programme as the longer you commit to a programme, the more likely you are to make permanent lifestyle changes.
Once you have been to see me for an initial consultation (1 hour), the programme includes block telephone appointments so that I can guide you through your journey, and make further recommendations or changes. The consultations consist of 3 telephone appointments, the first one a week after your initial appointment, the second one at week 4, the third one at week 6, lasting 15-20 minutes each. The last follow-up consultation (45 minutes) is face to face in week 8. Free email support (up to 6 emails) throughout your programme is also included in this package.
I also offer personalised supermarket tours whereby I will accompany you at your supermarket when doing your grocery shopping. I will show you how you could be eating more healthily and help you to make the right healthy food choices. Advice will be given on labelling, the content of nutrients, and how you can replace your favourite foods with healthier choices.
Supermarket Tour (up to 1 hour):- £50.00
Additional menu-planners (from 3 days up to 4 weeks in length) can also be provided as an extra service.
As my mother was a nurse and grandfather a GP, I know first-hand that orthodox medicine and nutrition can complement each other beautifully. I would like to take this view one step further however. I therefore apply the principles of 'functional nutrition' whereby I will endeavour to find the root cause of your health issues, not just take a symptoms based approach. I do not take a one-size-fits-all approach as everyone leads a different lifestyle and has a different relationship with food. I will engage in an individual, dynamic relationship with you and tailor-make your wellness plan to encourage you on the right track to optimum health.
I also invite you to 'like' my Facebook page www.facebook.com/vitalianutrition for the latest health tips and recipe ideas, as well as reviews and comments.
If you would like any further information on my services or how nutritional therapy can help you, then please do not hesitate to contact me by phone where I would be very happy to discuss this further.
All the best in health,
