“From Passion to Practice”
I’m Carla and my journey into nutritional therapy was inspired by my own health concerns. Through making changes to my diet and lifestyle, I experienced significant improvements in my health, which sparked my passion to help others do the same.

Outside of my professional life, I am a mother of two, and love imparting my knowledge to them to see them flourish. I love tending to my garden and growing my own produce. Currently I am mastering baking sourdough and I also enjoy sewing in my spare time, and I love to travel to experience different cuisines and cultures.

Testimonials

"I have made good progress!"
The achievable advice from Carla regarding my aims and targets. I felt that these were realistic which helped me achieve the goal of making small changes. I felt comfortable during my sessions, we discussed my current symptoms and was offered direction on how to have a positive outcome to meet the targets that were set. I also appreciated the time Carla took in researching additional items for me. The sessions were beneficial, as I am quite a negative person and seeing it from another angle helped me realise I have made some good progress.

Pippa

"I feel less bloated and lost weight!"
The most useful thing about my consultation was changing a few things, made me feel less bloated, helped me lose weight and generally feel better about myself, what more can you ask for!

Sharon

Hi Carla, just wanted to message whilst I had some time!
Just wanted to update you that we have been following all of your advice with Bronte - taking all of the supplements and starting to slowly detox the house and diet as much as we can. He is like a different child 🙌- much calmer, much less argumentative and far fewer anger breakouts!! Thank you so much 🤩

Sam

“We learnt so much, so much information to digest, it was great to make sense of some of the buzz words that are around that you explained in a beautiful way, and can’t wait till you return later in the year with our winter wellness day.”

Yoga Wakefield

“When does a Yoga detox day give you that little bit extra? (A): When Carla, from Heart of the Matter Nutrition, joins you after your morning yoga session to share her knowledge and experience about the role food plays in our wellness journeys.
