About me

I'm Atiya, a Nutritional Therapist, Naturopath and Yoga Teacher practising in Bristol and online.

I love to help people like you who may be stressed, experiencing sugar cravings, low energy and mood but want to have a positive relationship with food. My passion is using food and lifestyle to help you feel at your best. I will listen to you, ask you questions and advise on addressing your issues, using my scientific and holistic approach.

Do you:

- Feel tired all time?
- Have sugar or other food cravings?
- Have gastrointestinal issues, such as bloating?
- Find it hard to concentrate?
- Get colds or ill a lot?
- Have trouble sleeping?
- Find it hard to lose or keep the same weight?
- Have mental health issues?
- Get PMS, irregular periods or fertility issues?
- Want healthy skin, hair and nails?
- Want a balanced diet?
- Want advice on going vegetarian or vegan?

I can help you feel better in addressing these issues. I aim to find the cause of your issues (using testing, where necessary) and work with you in agreeing a food and lifestyle plan that is achievable and realistic. I use food as a medicine, advising on particular foods to support your individual needs, as each person is unique.

Please look at my website as above and book a FREE 30 minute call to discuss how I can help you.

'I feel much better than when I started the programme - I have more energy and better outlook for my conditions. Introducing little changes like avoiding drinking during meals, having blueberries during sweet craves and use pulses and fish more often as well as having targeted supplements have made a real difference. In the last two months I have had one or two relapses compared to an average of six-eight a month. I am slowly weaning off the preventative medication I am on and that’s a real achievement.

I would recommend seeing Atiya not only if they have a health problem but also to understand how to optimise body function in a busy lifestyle. Nutritional therapy helps you to make the right choices for yourself so that you don’t need the supermarkets of businesses in the food industry to do it for you, those are designed to make profits and not to keep you healthy.' Sarah, Bristol

'Absolutely fantastic, thank you! I’ve learnt so much and feel so much better.' Dave, Bristol

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a degree in Biochemistry & Biological Chemistry (University of Nottingham, 2002), and previously worked as a solicitor in London and primary school teacher in Bristol. I qualified as a Nutritional Therapist in 2015 and as a Naturopath in 2017 with the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM).

I am an experienced Nutritional Therapist and qualified Clinical Supervisor, having assisted supervising second year students for over 100 hours.

I am registered with the British Association of Nutritional Therapy and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP).

I see clients individually, run online courses, teach yoga, run health retreats and health talks. I previously worked at health retreat centre.

I am also a health writer and have had articles published by CNM, local health food shop Wild Oats, Natural Lifestyle Magazine, Bristol Bite Magazine and other publications.
