About me

I am currently unable to take on new clients due to personal medical treatment over the next 2 months. If you would still like to enquire I will have support to answer your enquiries during this time. I will also be operating a waiting list if you would like to be notified when I am able to accept clients. Many thanks for your patience. Alison

Autism, ADHD, anxiety, medical trauma - Gender and neuroaffirming - always welcome as your authentic self.

I am a registered Dietitian with over 30 years of NHS experience in a variety of roles. I specialise in working with people who struggle with traditional healthcare whether that be due to neurodivergence, disability, mental health or medical trauma.

Transform Your Relationship with Food: I specialise in creating neuroaffirming, weight inclusive, personalised resources and plans for people who are neurodivergent and/or struggle with healthcare.

I work with sensory and interoceptive differences, food aversions and executive functioning challenges and respect safe and stim foods.

I  can support you to;

  • Understand complicated diets such as low FODMAP for irritable bowel syndrome or low histamine for histamine intolerance or mast cell activation syndrome, and be able to apply them to your own specific needs - ask as many questions as you need to, as many times as you need to
  • Improve the balance of your diet while managing executive functioning and interoceptive differences and sensory needs
  • Improve the management of health conditions like Ehlers Danlos syndrome, hypermobility, m.e/ chronic fatigue syndrome, Long Covid, PoTS, MCAS and histamine intolerance without feeling completely overwhelmed or struggling with decision paralysis
  • Manage Type 2 diabetes with dietary information that fits your individual needs - weight neutral, need to gain weight, less information, safe foods, history of eating disorders
  • Expand the variety in your diet beyond safe foods in a neuroafirming way
  • Maximise the potential for your diet to support your mood and focus
  • Reduce food confusion, overwhelm and guilt around food and your health
  • Improve your relationship with food, including binge eating and emotional eating

If you are not sure if I can help, or would like to ask questions to be sure I am right for you, feel free to email unexpecteddietitian@icloud.com
