Hello! I am a Bristol based nutritionist working online and in-person.
We will work closely to understand your particular needs and goals and to ensure that I am supporting you in the best possible way. I will help you take control of what you are putting into your body and guide you towards the most nutritious foods and lifestyle choices until they become second nature. I will be there to encourage you every step of the way. I strongly believe that your success is my success and I truly want you to feel your best and to enjoy life to its fullest.
Where do we start?
The first step is to have a one-to-one nutritional assessment where I take a comprehensive look at your health/medical history and diet and provide you with an in-depth personalised dietary and lifestyle plan to work towards your health goals. This will be done in a friendly, supportive, trusting and empathetic environment which will enable you to talk about your dietary intake and health concerns. We will then have follow up sessions according to your needs and there are a number of ways in which you can do this. Our meetings would usually take place using Zoom which ensures complete confidentiality and means that whilst I am based in Bristol, my clients can live anywhere.
My main passion is ensuring we all have a healthy relationship with food. The need for perfectionism with what we eat will inevitably lead to ‘failure’ and therefore a negative attitude to food and ourselves. I strongly believe that a healthy mind is a key ingredient in maintaining a healthy body.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Diploma in Naturopathic Nutritional / The College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM)
- Adult nursing - BSc Hons / Cardiff University
After a 10 year career as a nurse, I am now happily helping people with nutrition. I studied Nutrition at the college of naturopathic medicine and now work full time as a Nutritional therapist mostly on zoom. I have worked with many clients to help multiple conditions / health concerns.
I worked as a nurse for 10 years, which provided me with so much life and medical experience. I have worked in many settings over Cardiff, London, Devon and Bristol - this has broadened my skills and knowledge in health/ill health, the human body and medicine. The majority of my career was spent doing community nursing where I managed a team of nurses in London.
I experienced working with many health conditions including diabetes, cardiac, respiratory, gastroenterology, musculoskeletal, wound care, epilepsy, learning disabilities, mental health, dementia, cancer, palliative care and many many more. For a short period of time I worked on the maternity ward in London -where I learned so much about pregnancy, labour, surgery, recovery, breast feeding and mother and babies health.
I am now a full time nutritional therapist and love to help people through diet and along side medical professionals if needed.
Information about health conditions (*)
Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.
