About me
Why ask for help?
If you are feeling frustrated, lonely, suffer with low self-esteem, feel hopeless and just not feeling your normal self all because your health is becoming worse OR you are struggling to manage your diabetes/PCOS/weight then asking for help is very important. When you feel like you've given up and feel that no one can tell you anything different or teach you anything different to improve that one thing that is bugging you, then know that with support you can begin to feel better again, feel more confident and improve your long term health.
What can I offer?
My expertise: weight management, Type 2 diabetes PCOS, mindful eating and binge eating. With my support, you can regain the skills that may have been lost along the way with healthy eating. I can teach you how to re-focus and help you to understand what's happening to your weight and health. I can help to customise a healthy roadmap for you and give you the knowledge and insights necessary to create a healthier future if that is what you are looking for.
Common causes for weight gain
Our health often declines more often than not a result of life events such as illness’s, family commitments or a change in job and forgetting to practice self care. I would like you to know that I will always take a non-judgmental, compassionate, and relaxed approach to helping anyone in need.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have more than 8 years of experience as a registered dietitian in weight management in both the private sector and NHS services. I stay updated with the latest research around weight management and diabetes including weight loss injections.
I am registered with: The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) a member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA)
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 14 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Information about health conditions (*)
Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Further information
The initial consultation is to help you identify whether I can support you in achieving your personal health and weight management goals and for me to identify if I have the appropriate skills and expertise to support you long term. Once we agree that we both want to work together, we will outline a plan to include the number of sessions that may required which could run either weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. Each session lasting up to 60 minutes.
We can finalise any further agreements if we continue to work together. Please note that I am in continuous NHS work, receive ongoing supervision and undertake regular professional development to stay up to date with the latest information in the field of weight management. I adhere to the HCPC and BDA all of which I would be pleased to share with you and discuss.
