Use and abuse of Antibiotics - Nutritional Support

Antibiotics will be present for some time to come, but it is important to understand to use them in life-threatening conditions so as not to create resistant bacteria when is really needed.

Many infections, viruses or other diseases could get better with taking easy, lots of fluid and appropriate nutritional support.

The more we use antibiotics, the more the immune system weakens and, consequently the more we are prone to harmful bacteria.

People need to ask more questions when they are presented with antibiotics. What risk do they run, if any, if they delay few days, taking other measures before resorting to antibiotics?

The immune system`s primary function is to protect the body against substances called antigens that they not belong to the bodies. One has to understand that while antibiotics kill harmful bacteria they also kill the friendly bacteria needed by the body for protection against parasites and other harmful organism like Candida albicans.

If someone is prone to recurrent infections they should be guided to look for the cause rather than kill the symptoms.  It may be related to nutritional deficiencies, an unhealthy lifestyle with too many excesses, inadequate rest and exercise, psychological and/ or physical prolonged stress and too much exposure to toxins.
