From willpower to wellpower

Are you trying to make positive changes to your eating or exercise behaviours? Or perhaps hoping to sustain changes you have already made in the long term?
Are you finding it difficult to maintain momentum over time? Do you feel as though you could do with some support to keep going through the hard times when your motivation is tested?
You are very welcome to join our friendly and encouraging space where you can explore your goals, make any necessary changes to your approach and strengthen your commitment to what is important to you.
We are a dietitian and a psychologist who are passionate about helping people to move towards and honour their deeply-held values and hopes, within a world that sometimes distracts us from these.
Our group sessions are part of a rolling programme that you may join at any time, dipping in and out of as you wish. At each meeting, we will present a relevant idea to stimulate thought and dialogue about the directions you might head in with your behaviour changes.
Monthly themes
- Managing cravings and other strong impulses (using ideas from dialectical behavioural therapy) - December's theme.
- Working with the different parts of you (using ideas from schema therapy).
- Starting from a place of compassion (using ideas from compassion-focused therapy) - covered on 25th October.
...the rest of the monthly themes will likely include motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and others - by the way, Jess and I are open to hearing your suggestions about which topics/themes you're more curious about so feel very welcome to let us know.

"Supporting you to make peace with food and your body."
Hello! My name is Mei, I qualified as a Registered Dietitian in 2014 from The University of Surrey. I have worked as a specialist project lead for adult and childhood obesity management as well as a specialist Dietitian for type 2 diabetes / pre-diabetes in digital health. I specialise in healthy and sustainable weight loss, type 2 diabetes remission, and disordered eating. I also have keen interests in intracranial hypertension, long-covid, PCOS, menopause, and heart health (cholesterol-lowering and improved blood pressure).
My passion for health and habit change stemmed from transforming my own health problems so I understand the challenges well when it comes to making lifestyle changes! I provide consultancy work (writing articles and setting up a new dietetic service) alongside my private clinic.
