Making a change can be tough, but the first steps don’t need to be so hard.
How many times have you said, ‘I’m making a change today’ only to fall off the wagon a week later? Many of us will feel that hit of motivation on Sunday evening. But after a few days of eating salads and forcing ourselves to go for a run, inspiration disappears and motivation dwindles.
This makes the journey seem impossible – it’s not enjoyable and you feel more stressed than ever. Putting pressure on yourself can work, but if your heart isn’t in it, success is hard to achieve.
However, there are ways you can start the journey and stay on the path ahead. We understand that the amount of information out there makes it hard to know where to turn, or what to believe. But we are dedicated to making your journey easier. Here at Nutritionist Resource, we aim to provide you with the tools you need to make a decision about your next steps to health and happiness.

We explore portion size and ‘me-size plates’.
According to BBC Good Food, more than half of children take a packed lunch to school – that’s nearly five billion lunches each year! It’s clear that lunchboxes really do impact daily life, though it can be difficult to think up new ideas.
It is particularly difficult if you are a parent to young children. With so much information available, what do you believe? Where do you go to learn what your child truly needs?
With childhood obesity on the rise – in 2014, the Health Survey for England found that 31% of children aged 2 to 15 were classed as overweight or obese – is portion size a part of the problem?
Lunch is an important part of the school day and should provide your child with at least one third of their daily requirements...

Guest post from Food for the Brain.
As children head back to school, how can you help them in managing the increasing pressures that school life can put upon them? Good nutrition and encouraging healthy eating can be one key strategy.
Nutrition education charity, Food for the Brain, is promoting ‘4 Golden Nutrition Rules’ to help support learning and development, as well as building your child’s resilience to stress.
According to figures released from the Office of National Statistics, 10% of children in Great Britain aged between 5 and 16 have a mental health problem, with 4% of children suffering from an emotional disorder such as anxiety or depression. With these figures, it is difficult to ignore how the increasing pressure to perform in exams, the social media overload and peer pressure, like bullying, is impacting young people.
Experts say how prolonged stress can lead to depression and...

We surveyed over 1,000 parents in the UK and found that 76% believe schools are failing to provide sufficient information on child nutrition.
Figures show that a third of children under the age of 15 are already overweight, so we’re on a mission to promote health and happiness, early on. We’ve created a dedicated space to provide clear information and help you navigate the often-confusing world of family nutrition.
