The health benefits of Garlic

It may make your breath a little stinky but the benefits of garlic far outweigh the negatives as recent research has found raw garlic to be even more powerful than penicillin and tetracycline in addition to its already known myriad of benefits.

The key active ingredient within garlic is known as allicin and is released when garlic is crushed helping to stimulate the immune system.

Dr. Abdullah from the Akbar Clinic and Research Centre in Panama City, Florida conducted a study which found raw garlic to increase the immune systems natural killer cells and he also believes in the future it could even be used to help develop medication for AIDS patients.

For many years garlic has successfully been used to help those with heart problems and artery issues due to its ability to dilate blood vessels, lower blood pressure, dissolve internal clots and prevent oxidation of important lipids that cause cell destruction.

Garlic is also commonly used to lower cholesterol and fight off the common cold, infections, digestive disorder and fungal infections.
