About me

I've been right where you are now. Functioning, but feeling rubbish with it. Overwhelmed with all the health stuff I 'should' be doing, but prioritising my career and social life over everything else.

After spending 15 years working in the corporate world in the UK, New York and New Zealand, I understand the pressures.  You're trying to balance a demanding job (you love, but sometimes hate), a social life, a family life, time to exercise, cook and time to just switch off.

It’ll come as no surprise that I had my fair share of health issues that I mostly ignored.  My energy was on the floor, sleep was an intermittent luxury, my skin was worse that it had been as a teenager, my tummy bloating got to the stage that I had taken to using a safety pin to hold my trousers closed. Worst of all for me, I left long ginger hair wherever I went and developed a bald patch on the front of my head (the horrors - my hair is my thing). Not to mention a degenerative kidney condition that I had absolutely no idea how to manage.

The big changes that I experienced in my own health after seeing a Nutritional Therapist meant that I decided I needed people to know how good they can actually feel.

Sometimes you need to hand the overwhelm over to someone else so that they can join the health dots to figure out what's got you to the so-painful-it-has-to-change situation.  Someone who can be non judgemental, non biased, non emotional and solutions driven.

The approach I take has nothing to do with deprivation and everything to do with your food (and life) tasting good.  It's about finding a way of eating that makes sure you feel (and look) fabulous, have tons of energy to get you through your day and that is practical in the long term.  No diets or fads around here.

I've been described by clients as "direct, but nice with it".  I'm all about your progress and will do what I can to help you get you where you want to be.

What happens at a consultation

The consultation is very much a dialogue between me and you. The more open and honest the conversation the more targeted and tailored the advice will be.

Once a booking has been confirmed, you'll be sent a detailed questionnaire and food diary to complete and send back to me before we meet. All aspects of your life - diet, work, stressors, environment, relationships - are taken into account to develop a Personalised Health Protocol that is unique to you.

I work on making sure you are the best you can be to deal with whatever life throws at you.

Shopping guide and pantry makeover (local only)

We’ll go through all your cupboards, your fridge, your freezer, your car (I’ve found secret stashes in many a car!) and your handbag (you never know what food is lurking in there).  Anything that needs to go will be donated to local food banks.

I’ll then pull together a shopping list based on your lifestyle demands, then we’ll hit the shops.

Your kitchen will be re-stocked, decluttered, arranged for easy access and will be looking fabulous when we’re done.

Price on Application.

Food Diary Review - £48
Together we'll go through a 7 day food diary that you'll have kept to have a look at where improvements and tweaks can be made.  I won't be taking a case history, looking at health issues/symptoms or making supplement recommendations.

Functional Testing is available at extra cost. By no means mandatory and always considered on a case by case basis.
