Hello, I’m Sylvia Salvendy, Nutritional Therapist, Health Coach and EFT(“Tapping”) Practitioner. I work with men and women who want to lose weight for once and for all, without resorting to faddy, complicated diets and deprivation. I also help men and women with associated concerns like emotional eating, cravings and bingeing, feeling tired all the time, feeling stressed out, cardiovascular health issues like cholesterol, hormonal imbalances, as well as blood sugar imbalances and digestion.
Many of my clients have been on a roller coaster of failed diets or are confused by the plethora of conflicting advice in the media, and just don’t know where to start. They feel uncomfortable about their bodies and don’t like how they look in their clothes. And they often blame themselves for losing the motivation and willpower to succeed.
I also work with numerous corporate clients on a variety of exciting projects which I thoroughly enjoy, including filming a documentary for Discovery Channel Asia.
Firstly, I take a holistic or “Functional Medicine” approach and address the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms. This means I look at the complex web of interactions between physical and mental/cognitive body systems, the environment and client lifestyle patterns that can contribute to imbalances and influence long-term health.
Secondly, I don’t ask you to give up all your favourite foods. Why? Because nutritional advice and programmes based on choice restriction usually fail. People get tired of feeling deprived. They go off their programmes, and even worse, then feel bad about themselves for not having enough will power, discipline, or motivation to stick to their regimes.
Thirdly, I won’t just explain to you what you need to do, I’ll help you do it. Nutrition education alone is often not enough to create sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes. That’s because as eaters, we all have our own psychology. This is where Health Coaching and EFT come in (like Nutritional Therapy, they are both evidence-based disciplines). They help you bridge the gap between thinking about making the changes you know you need to do, to actually making them happen. Health Coaching and EFT help shift your mindset, help reduce your reliance on willpower and discipline, help you overcome barriers that keep you stuck in unhealthy lifestyle habits and importantly, keep you motivated long-term to stick to your goals and reach them.
What to Expect During Your Consultation
During your visit you’ll have the opportunity to explain the issues you’re concerned about. I’ll explain the “why” and “how” of dietary and lifestyle recommendations simply to you and give you plenty of time to ask questions to make sure you understand everything.
Step-by-step, practical dietary and lifestyle modifications will be introduced which are realistic for you- and within your comfort zone. This way, adjustments will fit into your lifestyle and consequently have a more lasting impact on your long-term health and well-being.Your progress is monitored and you are guided until you feel you can confidently support your well-being.
Even the powerhouse combination of Nutritional Therapy, Health Coaching and EFT usually aren't quick-fixes. They’re a healthy option for making new habits last. They’re for long-term, sustainable weight loss and other wellness changes.
Because everyone’s needs are different, I offer a variety of programmes to suit everyone’s requirements. Please visit http://www.yournutritionalhealth.co.uk/shop/ to find a range of comprehensive and versatile programmes to help you reach your health goals.

SUCCESS STORIES- Nutrition
I met Sylvia when I moved to London. My personal trainer referred me to her. My focus is health, happiness and longevity. Every meeting with Sylvia was jam packed with helpful information. I always left the meetings with a skip in my step because not only does Sylvia impart nutritional information but she incorporates a lifestyle/holistic approach. She knows all the tips and tricks to set you on the right path. Sylvia is so personable, you can tell her everything. She is your instant friend. She is so smart and knowledgeable that she can guide you through the detailed plans with self-assurance and smiles. I learned so much about food and life during our two year relationship. I can’t recommend Sylvia highly enough. K.M. London
Complex mixture of symptoms
“I started seeing Sylvia last year with a multitude of concerns which my doctor had over the years been unable to resolve fully. Sylvia is endlessly kind and patient and incredibly smart. She has spent so much time unpicking the problems and giving me constant advice and support way beyond the extent of any other practitioner I have come across. Her advice has made a real, physical difference but perhaps more importantly has put my health back in my own hands. Sylvia really is exceptional – in her knowledge, service and value.” JR, London.
"I was very over-weight, I had trouble sleeping, trouble concentrating at work, and spending lots of money buying terrible meals and sweets throughout the day. I wasn't sure I would be successful in losing the weight I was hoping to lose, and I was concerned that after an initial period of "faking it" I would give up and quit.
But the programme with Sylvia completely changed my health. I feel amazing, my sleep routine has much improved, which in turn has improved both my private and my work life. It has also led me creating a very healthy fitness routine. Sylvia taught me what healthy eating is - she taught me how to eat so that I wasn't hungry. That changed everything: once I wasn't scrambling to stuff food down I could start thinking about which food I was eating, and slowly moving to a healthier diet." D. W. Canary Wharf
Healthy Eating During Ramadan for International Bank
I work for an international bank and wanted to plan an event for the Muslim Network, one of our employee groups. As Ramadan was approaching I wanted to ask a guest nutritionist to come in and speak about eating well for the month, and contacted several people. Sylvia was the only one who actually listened to the brief that I provided and was highly proactive. She answered all of my calls/emails/texts (very important when event planning!), and was highly professional throughout.
The end result was a presentation that I was extremely happy with - she had clearly researched the topic well and the results were clear. Her presentation was interesting, engaging and highly informative. I could not recommend her enough and the feedback we have been receiving from our members on the event has been phenomenal. She even offered two complimentary services, including an offer to follow up with some tips post-event to ensure people stay engaged with the topic. She is wonderful to work with and I am just so pleased!" Maahwish Mirza HR
Seminar for Bacardi-Martini Corporation Limited
“We invited Sylvia to join us to run an interactive 1 hour session on nutrition during our January well-being month. I found Sylvia to be a joy to work with before, during and after the event. She understood our brief and combined basic clear nutrition information with topical subjects including food and alcohol, superfoods and “is low fat really low fat”? I would definitely not hesitate inviting Sylvia back should the occasion arise”. Heidi Wood, Senior HR Manager, Bacardi -Martini Corporation Limited, London
SUCCESS STORIES- EFT
“Sylvia is always willing to support wherever I am in the process and to help me unravel the issue. She is always respectful and encouraging to get to the bottom of things and unearth what is really there. She is also very sensitive and goes with the emotion of where we are in the process and uses EFT both thoroughly and ethically. Blending her knowledge of nutrition and EFT works perfectly together.”
”I have been seeing many doctors for the past 5 years for my stress-related illnesses. I have never been able to handle stress easily in my life and to find the right treatment that would help me mentally and physically. When I first visited Sylvia, I was still suffering from head pain, panic attacks and severe nervousness. I was feeling low and my comfort eating was out of control.
In my sessions, Sylvia supported me and helped me to identify the issues in my life that brought on my head pain and nervousness attacks. In my first session, the pain in my head and the tightness in my chest disappeared. I now feel healed and relieved of my fear, resentment, anger, sadness, self-condemnation and all the other negative thoughts and feelings that were connected to my nervousness. I now feel happy, calm and at peace and I don’t have the need to eat compulsively like before.
Sylvia has taught me such a simple and powerful tool which I will continue to use for the rest of my life and will share with my family and friends. It has completely changed my life for the better and I am so grateful for getting my life back. Thank you so much for everything.“ A.M London
