Sarah’s own vitality and enthusiasm for life is a testimony to her belief in the "Power of Food". Sarah has had many happy years successfully running her busy practice, Nutritional Vitality. In combining her passion for both nutrition and psychology, Sarah has created a unique therapy in which nutritional science and expertise are blended with her humanistic, person-centred psychotherapy. Often people know what they "should" eat, yet struggle to do so. Addressing these psychological factors takes the struggle away.
Sarah's work is varied – in addition to one on one client consultations, she regularly appears on local radio and writes articles for national magazines and local press on a wide range of subjects including Child Nutrition and Stress management.
Sarah freelances with corporate nutritional training and promotion, working with corporate names such as Danone, Nuffield Health, Tesco Pharmacy, Booths Supermarket, Greenvale Homes and English Lakes Hotels.
Sarah practices yoga, walks and cycles all over beautiful Yorkshire and runs competitively. Her most favourite way to relax is with a good book, preferably in the sunshine on a camp site.

With so many diets in the media, could you be confused about which foods are best for you and need a little help making sense of it all? Perhaps you know what to do to lose weight but you don't want to do it alone? Or you want both - nutritional advice and someone by your side along the way!
Whatever you want, Sarah is here to support you in achieving your goals with as little effort on your part as possible. There's no point in making it complicated! It's not about extremes but supporting you to make gradual, manageable changes which are the best ones for you.
During your Initial Consultation, Sarah takes a detailed analysis of your dietary and nutritional intake and a detailed health case history from you. Together you will agree your goals and dietary changes.
Afterwards you will receive:
- A strategy for health – linking the symptoms to potential nutritional imbalances and providing support and encouragement to change diet and lifestyle
- A written action plan – personalised advice for dietary and lifestyle changes
- A written supplement programme – details of any recommended nutritional supplements
- The recommendation of any non-invasive clinical tests, if required
- Reasonable telephone/email support throughout your programme
Your follow up consultations are important. Your nutritional recommendations are often not life-long, but will be subject to review. You will gain the maximum benefit from seeing Sarah at 4-6 weekly intervals to monitor your progress and make any adjustments necessary.
Sometimes you might want more information about what's happening in your body. Functional tests can help focus your programme accordingly. Tests Sarah recommends are:

Consultations at Nutritional Vitality:
£85 for an initial consultation and written treatment plan (90 mins)
£45 for follow ups (60 mins)
All consultations are fully confidential and one on one with Sarah. Follow up sessions are normally 4-6 weeks later and number required will vary depending upon your goals. In general its best to allow for 2-3 follow up consultations. Reasonable telephone and email support is free and offered between sessions.
Bespoke weight management programmes are available if you find that more frequent one to one coaching and support suits you better. Please contact Sarah for these fees.
