Sara Patience MSc (merit) RNutr RHV RN
I am a Registered Nutritionist and a Registered Health Visitor and work mainly with babies, children and families to promote your health through the food you eat. I am author of Easy Weaning and health writer for mother and baby magazines as well as professional journals.
I can support you with infant feeding and child nutrition, whether this may be starting babies & children on the right track or helping with fussy eating or getting families onto a healthier diet.I am interested in the relationship between children's diets and adult health and believe the early years are crucial to developing good eating habits. I use evidence based nutrition to meet health needs. I understand that you want to enjoy food and I will help you set realistic changes to meet your goals.
I will ensure we are clear about what you are trying to achieve and give realistic advice for how to go about meeting your goals, for some people this may be one session and others may require some ongoing support.
Due to my unique set of qualifications I specialise in supporting parents with infant feeding, infants and children who are difficult or fussy feeders, introduction of complimentary foods, and weaning and progressing feeding through toddlerhood, childhood to adolescence.
For adults or children, I work one:one or I am happy to see you with small groups of friends, i/e work colleagues, antenatal/postnatal groups.
My science background allows me to understand where the evidence does, and importantly doesn't exist and pass on to you simple accurate and up to date advice.
