The food we eat has a powerful influence over our bodies, it can be used as medicine to help the body function as it should.
I have specialised knowledge in in gut health, autoimmunity and hormonal health and a specific interest in helping those with mental health concerns.
I practice Functional Medicine, a form of healthcare that identifies the underlying causes of your illness and then aims to restore the way your body works to prevent the symptoms that hurt you. I use a combination of nutrition, supplements and lifestyle changes to help you heal.
I combine the intuitive knowledge of my patients with the science of Nutritional Medicine to help them feel better and lead healthier and happier lives. Many people know that the food they eat affects how well their body functions and how well they feel, they may however need support to understand how food changes the body and then create healthy lifelong eating habits that suit their own physiology.
I first discovered Nutritional Medicine when I was finding a way to recover, naturally, from Endometriosis. I didn’t want to take the powerful drugs that were being offered to me, I instinctively knew my body wanted to heal but needed help to do so. By changing my diet, addressing nutrient deficiencies and taking a good look at my lifestyle I was able to heal from a debilitating disease. So I have lived my own journey to health and know what it's like to be very ill.....and, I also know what it's like to recover and feel vibrant and healthful.
I am a DNALife practitioner which allows me to create very specific nutritional and supplementary plans for those patients who complete DNA testing.
