Welcome to my profile. My name is Sally Farmer and I am a fully qualified, BANT registered, insured and experienced Nutritional Therapist practicing from Solihull, and my clinic in Wythall, Birmingham.
I can also offer telephone consultations for clients from all over the UK, as well as home visits in Solihull and Birmingham if attending an appointment is difficult, or if you are housebound.
I am available for consultations Monday to Saturday including some evenings. Please enquire for more info on which evenings each week are available.
I am a fully registered and insured practitioner. I keep up-to-date with the latest in nutritional research via many groups and forums that I am a member of, as well as conducting many Continuing Professional Development hours (CPD). Each client I see helps me to keep abreast of all latest research as no two clients are ever the same.
I also practise Bowen therapy/NST to assist clients who suffer with other conditions such as back/ joint and muscular pain. This therapy takes the body out of "fight or flight" stress mode, which most people are in these days due to stimulants in the diet and many other stressful lifestyle factors.
It works over the nervous system inducing relaxation. It also works over the lymphatic system which triggers detoxification and the muscular/skeletal system to have an over all body balancing effect.
If the structure of the body is imbalanced the function of the body will be compromised.
Bowen/ NST can help with many other conditions and can be used along side nutritional therapy for an holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have always known the importance of food and nutrition and why it is so important to our health and wellbeing and have had an interest in the subject for over 20 years. My interest was fuelled by illness within my family and the understanding of the link between food /nutrition and lifestyle and the impact on health and wellbeing.
However, I decided I needed to learn more about this subject and obtained qualifications once I realised that the only way I could help my daughters poor health was through nutrition. My daughter had suffered with eczema and lots of infections most of her childhood, however I am pleased to say that she is now a very healthy girl who is at school every day and is excelling in all areas of her life. I have no doubt that it is down to the nutritional approach that was adopted with her.
I specialize in digestive disorders, eczema, and cancer but have experience in many other areas.
I studied with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London and hold a diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition as a Nutritional Therapist. I also previously held the position of Director of Studies at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (Birmingham campus) for 2 years.
I also have a diploma Bowen Therapeutic Technique with Bowtech at Sheffield University and a diploma in Neurostructural Integration Technique (NST) studied at the International Centre for Neurostructural Integration Technique.
I am also a Reiki Practitioner qualified to 2nd degree level.

Due to the experience with my own child's health it has enabled me to go on and help many other children and parents alike. However I have a very mixed clientele and have experience working with many adult conditions.
With the use of Bowen Therapy and NST it enables me to offer further support and pain relief by rebalancing the body from a structural perspective at the same time as working on other body systems and conditions.
This 2 pronged attack has helped many clients and will continue to do so. For more information on my therapies, please visit my website:

"I came to Sally with serious tummy issues, with the symptoms of excessive bloating amongst other symptoms. I also felt constantly tired and drained of energy. I was on medication from my Doctor for my condition which just did not seem to resolve the problem. Life was difficult to manage with the constant worry of being at work and having the urge to go to the loo urgently with little warning. I found this very stressful.
I changed my diet and followed the plan Sally had given me, including introducing lots of smoothies & juices for myself & my family and making healthier food choices and as a result, I have lots more energy, my symptoms are gone and I'm very happy to say I am no longer on ANY medication from the Doctor!!
I would recommend Sally and nutritional therapy to anybody"
"I would recommend Sally to anyone wanting a professional treatment for skin or nutritional therapy. I suffer from lupus and had an assessment from Sally . I have taken on board the advice and can't believe how much more energy I have. Her facial skin treatments are fantastic too. Sally looks at the person as a whole and uses her specialist knowledge to support and advise you in what to do. My skin is now amazing and I regularly get comments about my complexion, due to changing my diet and Sally's skincare advice. It's Changed my life xx thanks Sally xx"
