Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? The foods you eat can have a profound effect upon your health, mood and energy levels. Because you are unique, other factors such as your lifestyle, your environment and your emotions also contribute to how you are feeling so these areas are also considered in a Nutritional Therapy consultation.
Through a thorough health assessment, I aim to find out what underlying imbalances may be contributing to your health concerns. Taking this into account, as well as your likes and dislikes, I provide you with an personalised programme that's designed just for you so that it works and fits into your lifestyle.
Whilst I have great results with individualised nutrition programmes, some clients benefit from going one stage further. Personalised nutrition gets to know you inside and out by running functional tests to determine, for instance, your basic genetic traits or the health of your intestinal tract.
What can you expect from the process?
Initially I am more than happy to chat to you over the phone to see if I can help you and run through your case. This is a good opportunity to see if we can work together and if I can actually help you (if I can't I'll aim to point you in the direction of a suitable healthcare professional). This initial call is free of charge.
Once we've agree to move forward I'll email you a pre-consultation nutrition and health questionnaire and a symptom checker form (these are very comprehensive) which needs to be returned to me 2-3 days in advance of the consultation. By doing this I can start learning about your health history to date so that we can focus on finding the root causes rather than merely relieving the symptoms.
After the consultation, I will then email you a personalised nutrition programme. After a week I can call or email you to see how it is going and then book in a follow up for around 5 weeks later.
Most clients see me for an initial consultation and two follow ups and it is during the second follow up that we may consider some functional tests if necessary. I also offer support via email for weight loss clients to check food diaries which can continue for as long as client likes.
Do you use laboratory testing?
Initially, I hope that the individualised programme we suggest will have a profound effect on your symptoms and outcome. However, occasionally I do need to run some functional tests to get a more detailed picture of what is going on. I am acutely aware that these tests are expensive however so I only recommend them when really needed.
Do you recommend food supplements?
I do but I always work with food first and only recommend specific supplements when I know they are needed. I only recommend food-state vitamins however as it means that your body absorbs the nutrients just as they would a piece of fruit or vegetable.
How do I book a free chat with you?
