What you eat, and your lifestyle choices, can affect how you feel, perform, sleep and operate every day.
All aspects of your life can really effect your health so Nutritional Therapists consider factors such as stress levels, health history, family health history, environmental and lifestyle factors as well as what you eat during their consultations. If necessary, we also run tests (Functional Testing) to see if your symptoms are being caused by an imbalance somewhere. For example, a stool analysis evaluates digestion, absorption and gut flora which can be very useful in assessing clients suffering with chronic gastrointestinal issues.
Nutritional Therapy can help people with chronic conditions but also those looking for more general support to enhance their overall health and well-being.
Many of my clients come recommended from personal trainers in the area who recognise that weight loss is 90% what you eat and 10% exercise and we work together with members who have had great results since starting up this partnership.
I would like to say that I am a realistic Nutritional Therapist and understand that making changes can be stressful enough in itself and we can't all be eating mung beans for breakfast! I therefore make sure that my programmes are achievable to the individual - for example, if you currently eat takeaways, initially I'd focus on educating on choosing the healthiest version rather than making you stop altogether (and then go on to show you how to make it yourself at home). Making one small change is better than nothing!

Areas of nutrition I deal with
* If you have been diagnosed or suspect you may have one of the medical conditions starred above, you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.
Initial consultation (90 minutes) £90
Follow up consultation (60 minutes) £65
Subsequent follow ups (30-60 minutes) £50
In the first consultation, we will go through the health and dietary questionnaire which I will have sent you in advance of the appointment. I then devise a nutrition and lifestyle plan which I will email within 2-3 days for you to follow at your own pace.
A follow up consultation is always helpful 6-8 weeks later to go through any issues or problems you may have following the programme or to just chat some more!
My clinic is based at Cowdray Hall Therapy rooms in Midhurst and has plenty of free parking.
From Midhurst, take the A272 towards Petworth. At the Easebourne village shop turn left (onto Easebourne Street), pass the pub on your left then turn first right into Parkway. Turn right again and you have reached Cowdray Hall - the therapy rooms are adjacent.
