About me

I am a mother of two with a great deal of life experience. I listen and my approach is friendly, caring and professional. Often described as empathetic I relate easily to others. I am passionate about food and health. My hobby is cooking and I am always experimenting with food, eager to pass my enthusiasm and recipes on to clients. I came to nutritional therapy through concerns about my own health and with the aid of a nutritional therapist I made changes to my diet and lifestyle and within weeks was amazed at how much better I felt. Applying my own knowledge and experience I have been able to build on this further – I now have more energy, sleep better and my immunity has improved significantly. Through a combination of my skills, knowledge of nutrition and my interest in food I offer a unique and personalised service.

I studied naturopathic nutrition with the College of Naturopathic Nutrition for three years and I now regularly read books, journals, scientific research papers and attend seminars on nutrition to keep my knowledge up to date.

Nutritional therapy applies to all and I welcome anybody, I have a particular specialism in the gastrointestinal system. I have focused my extra learning in this area, concentrating on functional foods to support digestion. I also see young children and teens and conditions associated with ageing for example bone and joint support. I also specialise in weight loss, very much from the view that it is about changing habits for life and not about diets, I provide tools and information to help with this journey.

I offer talks to schools and businesses. I have recently finished a round of talks on exam nutrition and success. The feedback from schools is very positive and my interactive sessions are a great way to start talking about food and clear up any confusions. It was refreshing to hear pupils talking about their breakfasts and how they can be improved to optimise their health and well being with a genuine interest and goal in mind.

Find out more go to my Facebook page and my blog also contains a good selection of recipes and articles on health and nutrition.
