About me

If you are concerned about your health and would like personalised nutrition and lifestyle advice to address your health concerns then I would be delighted to offer my expertise.  I am a fully qualified and registered nutritional therapist using a functional medicine approach to health, meaning that I will not merely consider the signs and symptoms that you are presenting with, but I will aim to uncover the underlying root cause of your symptoms.

I am passionate about giving clients the knowledge and tools to take control of their health through nutrition, but I also understand that any recommendations I make need to be realistic to you and fit into your life. I will take the time to understand what your lifestyle is like and we will work together to develop a nutrition programme that you find manageable.

I have helped clients with a range of health concerns, including improving digestion, lowering cholesterol, weight loss, improving energy levels and balancing blood sugar. I have also helped clients seeking general healthy eating advice.

Changing eating and lifestyle habits can seem daunting, but we will work together to find a nutritional programme that is realistic and fits in to your life, without depriving yourself, or your family, of the joy of eating.

What to expect from your consultation(s):

Full Consultation (1 hr 30 mins)

If you have a specific health concern that you would like to address then you will require a full consultation.

Before your first consultation I will ask you complete a detailed health questionnaire and a 5-day food diary. These will be analysed prior to your first consultation.

During this consultation we will talk in detail about your health concerns, medical history, family history, your lifestyle and your health goals. I will explain how your current diet may be affecting your health and together we will develop a personalised nutrition and lifestyle programme that is realistic and achievable to you. Additional information such as fact sheets, recipes and menu plans will be emailed to you following your consultation. If appropriate, I may recommend laboratory testing in order to gain a more complete health profile. Supplements will only be recommended to address nutritional imbalances and will not be used as a replacement for a healthy diet.

Please note that laboratory testing and supplements, if needed, will incur an additional charge.

Follow-up Consultation (45 minutes)

At least one follow-up consultation is recommended approximately 4 weeks after your first consultation.

Before your follow-up consultation I will ask you to complete a 3-day food diary that I will analyse prior to seeing you.

During this consultation we will assess your progress and talk about any dietary changes that you may have found challenging.   We will discuss any test results, re-evaluate your health goals and adjust your nutrition and lifestyle programme, if necessary.

Diet MOT (45 minutes)

Perhaps you do not have a specific health concern that needs to be addressed, but you would like general dietary advice from a nutrition professional.

Before your consultation you will complete a 5 day food diary that I will thoroughly analyse and discuss with you during the consultation.

During your consultation I will explain how the foods you are eating may be affecting your health and we will discuss how your diet may be altered to ensure that your meals are balanced and that all your nutrient needs are being met. I will explain in detail why a balanced diet is so important and I will provide you with meal and snack ideas based on your individual likes and dislikes.

Dietary advice for infants and children (45 minutes)

This consultation is suitable for advice on weaning or how to ensure your growing child's nutritional needs are being met.

During this consultation I will talk to you in detail about the key food groups and nutrients that every growing child needs and I will explain why these are so important during this period of rapid growth and development. I will give you practical advice on how to introduce these foods into your child's diet, and I will provide you with recipes and snack and meal ideas.
