I have been a Registered Dietitian for over twenty five years and have held a successful private practice alongside working for the NHS during this time.
My current NHS post is as a specialist eating disorder dietitian. In a private capacity I hold a weekly clinic at the local Nuffield Hospital, where I am also the dietitian to the wards and the specialist Weight Loss Surgery team (Bariatric).
Independently I have recently been registered on the Kings College London list of dietitians trained to work with the FODMAP approach to treating Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) - an area of increasing evidence and success. Other areas of interest include women's health, weight problems (under or over weight), all digestive problems, behavioural eating problems, osteoporosis, diabetes (in particular type 2), mental health and nutrition, and teenage nutrition.
My work includes writing on nutrition topics, giving talks, running workshops and teaching/supervision of Group work.
I write regularly for the website http://www.platform505.com
