Lucy Sparkes BA (hons), Dip. Nut. CNM
I'm Lucy, your local nutritional therapist. I work in the West and East Midlands. Give me a call and we can chat about how I may be able to help support you back onto the path to fantastic health.
I take consultations at the Therapy Rooms in Solihull where I can see people from the surrounding areas including Warwickshire and Birmingham suburbs, but I am also available for home visits and skype consultations depending on your health, preference and availability.
I am a full member of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and the British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy (BANT). I am committed to keeping up-to-date with the latest health news and research material. For continued professional development I attend seminars, lectures, workshops and subscribe to medical journals to keep abreast of current health news articles.
My philosophy is not about placing limitations and restrictions on people but helping them to listen to their body and to the symptoms it demonstrates to make wiser, more informed decisions about their food intake and health, using nutrient support where necessary to gain equilibrium once again.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at the well-respected College of Naturopathic Medicine in London where I gained a diploma in naturopathic nutrition. I now practise privately in the West & East Midland areas.
Naturopathic nutrition is an holistic therapy that treats everyone as an individual, taking into account the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of the whole person when assessing health problems. Photos & videos
The first time we meet, I will need to take a detailed medical history and build a picture of your current state of health to assess your physical, mental and environmental stressors. I will then build a treatment plan for you with appropriate food and lifestyle recommendations, and where necessary I will suggest supplemental nutrition of the highest standard to address any nutritional imbalances. Everything is negotiated between us to fit your lifestyle, ethics and sensitivities. The primary aim of the consultation will be to address any suspected nutritional imbalances and address your presenting symptoms along with building a plan to support long-term sense of wellness.
In preparation for our consultation I will ask you to fill out a 3 day food diary and supply details of all (if any) medications.
Initial consultation (up to 1hr 30 mins): £60
Subsequent consultations (up to 45 mins): £40
