Have you tried every fad diet under the sun but still struggle to lose weight? Do you always feel tired, bloated, and have mood swings? Do you suffer with hormonal imbalances, poor skin or PMS? I firmly believe in the power of nutrition to change your health and wellbeing. What you eat and your lifestyle, along with your individual genetic make-up, all affect the way we look and feel. Nutritional therapy is about creating individualised nutrition plans and as such I don't believe in following the latest 'fad' or starvation diet. Instead, I believe in creating eating plans which include healthy, nutritious, whole foods, that will keep you feeling satisfied.
As a mother to teenage children I understand the importance of feeding a family healthy food, and the challenges that poses when dealing with busy schedules, individual tastes and dietary needs. We can work together to create a meal plan that will meet your family's needs.
I always aim to make my programmes achievable, realistic and lasting, and will work with you to set realistic and achievable goals. At the initial consultation we will go through your health questionnaire and food diary (which will be sent to you prior to the consultation), and will discuss past and present factors that may be contributing to any current health symptoms and your goals. The one-to-one consultation will ensure your unique, individual needs are taken into account. You will receive a personalised health optimisation plan, which will include an analysis of your food diary, support with shopping lists if required, and an action plan reflecting any health and lifestyle changes to get you back on the path to optimum health. Sometimes supplements and further tests may be required to support your goals and we can discuss these at your consultation.
As an Associate with Superwellness, I work with companies to run workshops and nutrition programmes for employees and run health talks for schools. See www.superwellness.co.uk for more information on our programmes.
