About me
Hi, I'm Laura, a Finchley based nutritional therapist. I am passionate healthy eating and the power food has on our bodies.
I've been working at a nutritional therapist for 14 years now which has granted me a great deal of experience, and I view working with clients to support their health an absolute privilege.
I see clients for all manner of health conditions. My passions lie in supporting clients of both genders with weight management. I work with my clients where they are at, and don't believe in fad diets, or extreme denial. I find my clients get excellent results whilst still eating plenty of food and the recurrent phrase I hear is "I'm losing weight but don't feel hungry!"
Female hormonal health is another area I have a great deal of experience with - I have a weekly clinic at www.london-gynaecology.com working with a fantastic team of consultant gynaecologists. I support a range of female hormonal health conditions including peri symptoms, and other gynaecological issues.
I am experienced in supporting gastro intestinal issues - IBD, bloating, regulating bowel movements, reflux. Thyroid issues - helping reduce hypothyroid symptoms such as weight gain and lack of energy naturally. Food allergies/ intolerances, skin conditions, blood sugar management, and some autoimmune conditions.
I also have a lot of experience working with older adults and have recently been contributing via talks and articles to Saga Spaces and online platform for older adults (50+).
I also see lots of children and teenagers in my clinic. Being a mother of 3 boys really helps me understand their needs, and yours, as their parent. I am passionate about children's health and am always astounded at the difference even the smallest nutrition tweaks can make.
Clients will always leave the consultation with lots of food ideas, a plan which fits in to their individual lifestyle, knowledge of how the right or wrong nutrition is contributing to their particular health concern, and knowing that they have really been 'listened to'.
One my passions lies in public speaking (I know!!) and I regularly run workshops for both private clients and large companies. I have given give workshops and talks for companies such as Deloitte, Visa, Accenture and the NHS. Talk topics include natural support for hormonal health, stress, immunity, sleep, digestion.
I also regularly contribute to the media, both TV and press. I've been quoted in The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, Pyschologies, the Daily Express, the Daily Mail and the Jewish Chronicle. Here are some links to recent articles:
