what-to-expect
Sessions are usually 50 minutes depending on your personal therapy needs.

Together we will look at your current diet and lifestyle along with your goals and come up with a plan to help you get where you want to be. Prior to our first meeting, I may ask you to keep a diet and activity diary to help establish your current situation. Afterwards I will email you a summary of the session along with any supporting information we discuss.

You can have as many or as few sessions as you feel you need. I would usually see most clients three or more times but some I see just once and others I have been providing support to for over a year, so it's entirely up to you.

I offer support via email between appointments.

I offer a professional, confidential, evidenced-based service that provides individual advice to meet your personal situation and requirements, whether that is weight management; pre-conception, pregnancy and infant nutrition; childhood nutrition including fussy eating, overweight & behavioural problems; a specific diet plan to manage a medical condition such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and its associated stress; low energy; or sports nutrition for optimum performance.

the-science-of-nutrition
The science of nutrition looks at the provision of necessary nutrients to the body to support life, health and growth. Many common health problems can be prevented, managed and improved with a healthy diet and lifestyle. However, eating and our relationships with food are individual, emotive and often far from scientific, therefore an approach tailored to each client achieves better results more quickly.

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Further information

The Low-Fad Diet is for people who want to lose weight and be healthy but don’t have the time or inclination to follow a complex weight loss diet dictated by a guru, but instead want a few basic guidelines to help them make better choices.

Although this book is a kind of diet book, it isn’t solely to help people to lose weight. This book is for anyone who wants to have a better understanding of basic nutrition for everyday life. There will always be more you can learn about food and nutrition, but this book provides an overview of the most relevant bits for most people.

If a Nutritionist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Nutritionist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I have a wheelchair accessible clinic in South East London. Please contact me if you would like an appointment here.
