Jo Scott-Dalgleish BSc (Hons) MBANT CNHC
About me: I run a nutritional therapy and functional sports nutrition practice based in Chiswick, West London, and have been seeing clients for eight years. Prior to that I spent three years studying full time at the Centre for Nutrition Education and Lifestyle Management (CNELM). I was awarded a first class BSc degree in nutritional therapy by Middlesex University in 2009. My first career was in sales and marketing and I have first hand experience of trying to balance a busy, stressful working life with being healthy - and finding it hard to succeed! I attend courses each year to update my nutritional knowledge and clinical skills, including the renowned Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice course in 2011, run by the Institute of Functional Medicine .
What I do: I seek to optimise my clients' sense of health and wellbeing by listening to their story, identifying any functional imbalances they may be experiencing, and implementing an individual nutritional programme. I specialise in creating a feeling of energy and wellbeing for those feeling under par.
Sports Nutrition: around two thirds of my clients are people training for endurance sports events, eg marathons, triathlons, cycling races. I help optimise their capacity to train, compete and recover through tailored nutritional support. I have contributed regularly to 220 Triathlon magazine and Women's Running magazine. I compete regularly in triathlons, running, cycling and swimming events.
