About me

I work alongside a client's GP and using my past nursing experience, specialise in nutrition and dietary support for the full spectrum of gut and bowel problems, Insulin Resistance and Blood Sugar Control, Hormone Balance and Low Thyroid function.


I have a special interest in the following:

Long Covid, Blood sugar management, Complex Health Conditions, Autoimmune Diseases, Adrenal Fatigue and Fatigue related conditions, Hormone Imbalance (PMS and Aging),Thyroid dysfunction,
Immune support for Immunotherapy/Chemotherapy, Weight Management, Gut Dysfunction and Allergies.

Jenny provides individual appointments at her clinic in Worthing. She focuses on providing practical and effective nutrition programs, tailor-made to suit you.

Jenny uses functional health tests, including stool analysis, nutritional status, hormone tests, allergy tests and food intolerance testing when necessary.

As a registered Nutrition Practitioner, Jenny is clinically trained to assess your individual needs, help you understand what could be the potential underlying causes for your health conditions and works to provide you with a program for long-term relief.

Using her past experience in nursing, HR and nutrition Jenny now provides nutrition consultancy to Residential Care homes in line with CQC requirements.  This includes MUST Assessments, Menu Review and individual resident nutrition assessment.  Staff nutrition assessments and consultations are included in the services she provides in support of staff retention and employee welfare.

Jenny is the consultant Nutrition Practitioner for Lanes Health Clubs.  She conducts health programmes and provides DNA based dietary advice via FitnessGenes which is provided at the club.

Training, qualifications & experience

Jenny worked initially as a general nurse before retraining into Human Resource Management and Training (CIPD).  Her interest in nutrition developed as a result of her son's health problems.

She trained at British College of Nutrition and Health (BCNH) which is affiliated with Greenwich University.

Her past experience includes running community health programmes for Bromley College of Adult Education and worked as a B.Sc Year 1 Tutor for British College of Nutrition and Health for 2 years.

Her experience in nutrition is reflected in her specialisms.

She is a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine and is registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, the UK regulator for complementary health care practitioners.

Jenny keeps up to date with research and meets the requirements for Continual Professional Development stipulated and recorded by BANT and CNHC.

The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy is the professional body for Nutritional Therapists.

There are different BANT membership classes, including Full Member, Fellow Member and Student Member.

All BANT practitioners must have met the required standards of training, be fully insured and adhere to the BANT Code of Ethics and Practice.

CNHC
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including massage, aromatherapy and nutrition.

In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.

A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

Jenny's fees reflect the current ecomonic conditions in West Sussex - Worthing area.  While her rates are low, this does not in any way reflect her level of expertise.  It is purely a decision she has taken 'to rather help, than not' where cost is an issue.

  • A full 2 hour consultation : £60.00
  • One Hour dietary review : £40.00
  • Care Home Consultations : £40.00 per hour
  • Follow up consultations last up to an hour:  £30.00
  • 1/2 hour consultations £15.00
